Hey, any of you guy's read Danny Sugerman's book Appetite For Destruction: The Days Of Guns N' Roses?  If any on wants to make the Guns out as Gods of Rock and Roll this guy does.  And I quote from the book:

" Whatever rock 'n' roll is,  Guns N' Roses personify it today like no one else. No one even comes close."  (1991)

And I agree in 2006 that is still true in 2006.  Whether you think it's Guns or not!

Is it a good book or just a haigiography of Axl Rose?

I found this book a bit trying myself

Not much content on Guns, more ramblings about the link between Jim Morrison and the greek god of excess Dionysis (sp?)

Pretty crap book imo. Some good photos but nothing new. Sugarman just spends half the time comparing Axl to Morrison which doesnt really work. Especially as there is no comparison really. Apart from they both like leather trousers. Morrison in my opinion is THE quintessential rock star, even Axl doesnt come close. Morrison is the blueprint for all rock stars after him.

So in a nutshell, dont bother reading it mate.
