GnR is unstoppable, but delay-able ;)

« on: May 16, 2006, 06:55:06 AM »

I heard that at the first show it was the slow version but at the second the Singalong version???

And what version did they play on the third?

Maybe someone can move this tread to GnR on tour (so we can post here the version of every show?)
But i can't make a topic there so...

(I am hoping on the full blown SingAlong, give me some reggea version)

I was there Friday, and it is not the same as '02.  Closer to the older style.   peace

I like the slower one.  I have the Rio 2001 version on a CD in my car.  I prefer that one over the 80's/90's version.

I was there Sunday and they played a mix of the new and old version. The beginning, the verses, and the guitar solo were all like the new way and then the end was the old way with Axl having the crowd do the sing along like the UYI days. Then I believe they ended it like the new way.

me too, its relaxing, moody, and just has an excellent nostalgic feel too it. not everything has to be fast and heavy to rock.

The Rock In Rio 2001 is my fav versions of KOHD. Axl's way of singing it is amazing ... Lot of emotions yes
In fact, it's in my car too, and won't probably leave hihi

The stripped down, melodic version ala Rock In Rio 3 is my favorite, and is also very close to Bob Dylan's version.

I was there Monday night, and they did the slow version, but then it turned into the 92 era singalong version.  He did the "i'll sing one...then you sing one" thing.  It was fucking awesome.

The whole show was the most AMAZING thing I have EVER witnessed in my life. Period.

Who plays the solo? The KOHD was one of my favorite BH solos.
