I dont understand the Mac hyping in this thread. if you want a cheap laptop that only checks email and play MP3's buy a 3 year old notebook on ebay for $250. Voila. Better than Mac.

Get a mac.  I have a powerbook G4 and I love it.  Wish I could upgrade to the MacBook Pro... and the Mac Pro for that matter too.  I used PCs for as long as I can remember and once I started using a mac, I never wanted to work on a PC again.
I use mine for everything - email, music, business, photography, Photoshop. 
I just find it to be a more enjoyable computing experience.

I don't understand the mac hating in this thread.

Honestly.. they are great computers. And can now run Windows. I don't see any problem besides your prejudice.

The laptops come with built in camera and microphone. SLCPunk you should check it out. You'd love it.
