"CD is not just any album. It's the ultimate snapshot of egomania, betrayal, and personal vendetta. It's a byword for self-indulgence and obsession. If CD does hit the shelves in 2006, it will bring to a close the most expensive and covoluted saga the rock'n'roll industry has ever seen."

"What's often forgotten about the CD saga is the underlying reason why Rose has taken so long. While his actions can be interpreted as pure laziness or apathy, it's more likely that the exact opposit is true. Quite simply, Rose has set out to create the ultimate rock'n'roll album. If he succeeds in achieving it, the frosty criticism he has had to endure since 1994 will melt into unconditional praise. If he fails, it seems invitable that his mythology will shatter and his long-suffering fanbase will sadly drift away. But for now,, with CD still a promise on a press release rather than an album on your local music store's shelf, Rose remains a legend frozen in time. The world continues to wait."

the latter part of this piece really reflects my sentiments about axl, he represents what is left of that early 90's era. the fact that he disappeared completely for nearly a decade, so we didn't see him reduced to some washed-up sellout, and the fact that use your illusion still were his last albums of original material, to me makes axl "a legend frozen in time". the way he works, taking his time, going on stage late, still causing riots lol, well i'm just glad we have him around again. we sometimes don't stop to think about how lucky we are. despite the huge lack of information, we are the hardcore fanbase of rock n' roll's last true rebel. beer

I agree. As much as I can't wait for him to step back into the public's eye, there is a prt of me that is very worried. If he releases CD and has a massive tour and it doesn't do well, then all this is over. He will lose his status, and i'm sure most of us will disillusioned. Guns n Roses, and Axl in particular, represent something special to all of us, and that could be washed away with a flop. But i do believe he is going to deliver the goods. It won't be 1993 all over again, but he will be big time news.

By bumping your own threads with a useless post like you did, you're just making it easier to lock it.

If you don't give a fuck about the rules, why should we give a fuck about your threads?

Somebody who's been banned more than once should know how this place works....
