It's not brilliant when they have a shitload of unknown songs that all fans would love to hear instead of an already released song. Roll Eyes

Like Shadow of Your Love?  I think that would be cool!  On the other hand, the new band generates brilliant music on their own, before Axl adds his parts!!!  I have heard, that some of the recently leaked instrumentals were brilliant!!!

I have also heard, that Tool's 10,000 Day's is brilliant!  Amazing!! peace

I hope Silkworms and Riyadh become B-sides. Im not a huge fan of these songs, but I bet they sound a hell of alot better in the studio then it did live, specifically Riyadh.

They should do it just like Juliette & the Licks did it. Release some extra tracks over I-tunes which were not on the album and never will be. All the fans will buy them and never complain they aren;t that great since it's just a "bonus"....

I guess there are still exclusive tracks that make buying a single more worth while, but actually calling them "B-sides" is a little too yesterday with cassettes dead and buried.

Sides were primarily a vinyl thing. But it's still used for CD singles with bands that actually put unreleased material there (take Oasis for instance : each single comes with 2 or 3 new songs). I don't think GnR were ever that big on that.

years ago, American record companies thought selling singles was a good business in itself, now they want you to buy entire albums at inflated prices ok Cry

I made a point of collecting every GN'R CD i could, be it singles, e.p., album or foreign. i put all the tracks on one CD in the end as it's easier to get to each track but so far GN'R haven't been a big B-Side band like say Oasis.
this is what's on the CD..

The B-Sides
1. You?re Crazy (Acoustic) 4:23- Taken From ?Welcome To The Jungle? (GEF 47CD) (Alternate version to GN'R Lies)
2. It?s So Easy (Live) 3:57- Taken From ?Guns N' Roses EP? (25XD-977 CD) & ?Sweet Child O?Mine? (GEF 55CD)
3. Shadow Of Your Love (Live) 3:07- Taken From ?Guns N' Roses EP? (25XD-977 CD) & ?It?s So Easy? (GEF 22TP)
4. Move To The City (Live) 3:46- Taken From ?Guns N' Roses EP? (25XD-977 CD) & ?It?s So Easy? (GEF 22TP)
5. Knockin? On Heaven?s Door (Live) 4:41- Taken From ?Guns N' Roses EP? (25XD-977 CD) & ?Nightrain? (GEF 60CD)
6. Whole Lotta Rosie (Live) 4:32- Taken From ?Guns N' Roses EP? (25XD-977 CD) & ?Sweet Child O?Mine? (GEF 55CD)
7. Interview With W. Axl Rose 7:49? Taken From ?Patience? (GEF 56CD)
8. Don?t Cry (Demo) 4:40? Taken From ?Don?t Cry? (GED 21651)
9. Live And Let Die (Live) 3:59? Taken From ?Live And Let Die? (GED 21 629)
10. Shadow Of Your Love 2:43? Taken From ?Live And Let Die? (GED 21 629)
11. Knockin? On Heaven?s Door (Live) 7:17? Taken From ?Knockin? On Heaven?s Door? (GFSTD 21)
12. Yesterdays (Live) 4:11? Taken From ?Yesterdays? (GFSTD 27)
13. Interview With Slash 7:12? Taken From ?The ?Civil War? EP? (GFSTD 43)

Bonus Non-Album Tracks
14. Knockin? On Heaven?s Door (?Days Of Thunder? Version) 5:35? Taken From ?Days Of Thunder. Music From The Motion Picture? (GEBBD-24294)
15. Oh My God 3:40? Taken From ?End Of Days? (490 508-2)

I'd love to see more B-Sides in the future, hopefully demos of 'Chinese Democracy' tracks (God knows there's loads of them!) or live tracks.

peace.

personally I've never been impressed with GnR's b-sides..i don't see anyreason for Axl to change the way he does things.

Personally, I think it boils down to the fact that they don't finish tracks if they aren't good enough to be on the album...
