Okay, so here's a topic that shoulden't get very political.
I've been looking up things on the history of clothing and the material that was used and everything and noticed that nowdays, us men and women wear more simple clothing and the theme of today's clothing is more slanted towards sexuality that anything nowdays.
I mean in all types of clothing~
Let's take a man for example,
He can wear just regular t-shirts but he can also go out in a thin sleaveless undershirt. Then, next a man can wear simple jeans or he can even go for cute shorts, whether they're down to the knees or not. And after that, it's shoes + socks. And before I forget, the're is the man's underwear and they're are all kinds of underwear a man can wear nowdays. There is breifs, boxers, boxer-breifs, bikini underwear, thongs, etc...
But, there is even some guys (I forgot what the word is) that choose to not wear underwear.
So as you can see from my example, fashion nowdays has become very sexually-oriented for the man and the woman.

As for the woman, I'm not going to go piece by piece but with a girl, the're are a lot more combinations and possibilities of what a woman can wear than a man. But, with what the girls in the hip-hop videos wear, it's clear that the're are many different ways that society can influence us on what to wear alone.
There was actually this book by this father and he talked about how girls dress nowdays and how he wanted to put a stop to things like say a 10 year old girl with a short skirt shaking her a** and so on like that. I think he does have a very solid point there though. I mean if she is that young and wants to dress like so and so she sees on the t.v., it could be a problem.

Anyways, I created this thread to see
A) How people thought about the growing trend of fashion being slanted towards sexuality
B) How parents are having to deal with their young girls (and some boys I guess) wanting to dress like their idols that they see on the t.v. or in concert or whatever...
