James, why are you so concerned with what Weiland says? Who gives a shit? It has nothing to do with the release date of the album or the scheduling of a tour. I don't get this sudden obsession. Why is his opinion of Axl different than anybody else's? Chill. peace As Mr. Hurst says in Deadwood..."focus on the color"...that being Gnr activity regarding music...not the Weiland/Axl/Slash sideshow.
Oh, you're gonna go down that road. Well why are you(and many others) so concerned with what Axl's lawyer or Merck say, or what Slash MIGHT have said? You guys are obsessed with lawyer press releases and shitty remarks about Slash but when the tables get turned, all of a sudden you dont give a fuck?

according to mysteron the newswires edited it themselves....something i never really believed...
Mysteron is wrong. Newswires dont edit press releases. Thats not their job. They send out what they receive. If they had edited it, Axl and the lapdog express would already be attacking them and filing lawsuits.

Wire services can edit press releases, and you can't sue them for it. Wire services are not a personal marketing machine for the various industries. They are allowed to quote in part or in whole, and to paraphrase. They can choose to carry some, all, or none of a press release.
You, Mysteron, Thorazine Schuffle, and Ppbebe need to show examples instead of just declaring I'm wrong. I wont be holding my breath while I wait for you to deliver your examples.

Mysteron, the topic of this thread was aimed towards you in a certain way. Since you wanted us to attack the Boston media, and certain people thought you would again try and "rally the troops". Funny how you completely ignored 99% of the discussion here and just say that I dont know shit about press releases and making little remarks about your avatar.

Whatever? Roll Eyes

At least people can understand why I have chosen to 'ignore the discussion'? hihi

The topic I started was not meant in a negative manner, or as a way to "finger-point," but moreso to point out that bogus headlines are far more disturbing to me (and i would think to mgt.) than one stating their personal opinion, in a story that is presented as an editorial or review.? I think MTV's headline was suggestive, and misleading.? I hope someone pointed that out to them.?

When news is not reported straight, and there is a slant presented, then there is a problem with either the headline writer, or the editor.? ?BTW, I don't recall Mysteron ever calling on people to "attack" the Herald?Huh I thought it was more of a nudge, to let him know that the songs were demos, and not new singles or whatever the writer called them.  I am a big fan of the 1st Amendment.

Ides of March my friends---alas, it's Caesar ok

James...again chill. I don't give a fuck either way or about what Merck, Axl, or anyone says. That is my point.  I have only made a few posts on the subject. You are quite uptight about this. It's typical spoiled rock star Gnr bullshit to me. Wink

Maybe if we resumed this discussion in the Axl's press release thread I could start quoting your posts where you do give a fuck. As I have said before, you cant have it both ways. You cant love bullshit games and when the bullshit game stops going the direction you preferred it to, just turn around and say you never cared. You did. The reason I get "uptight" is because of alot of the contradictions I see in these threads. Worshipping third party releases on one hand but insulting a statement that actually took guts to say on the other.

You're right. Its typical rock star GNR bullshit. There shouldnt be a double standard.
