I doubt that bettter came from the club in NYC.  it's too clean, and would've required a direct rip from the CD.  I'm sure the CD was under constant watch of axl's bodyguards.

plus, the fact that we have the old demo IRS along with the new (mastered?) better makes me think this is directly from management

I known this all along because "Better" would be such an easily recognizable name to a track and that song title would have started circulating a long time ago in regards to the Trunk show... but it never did.

Truth but Still can be march..

I honestly believe Slash, I'm NOT sayin' CD is comming when he says, what I mean is I have big respect and love for the guy and If he says he "was told" by some liable source, close to the band that CD was comming in march I believe him... I won't blame him or bash him april the first if CD haven't been released yet. I trust Slash has basis for what he had said.

Just FYI, I've also sent an email off to Piazza through the Padres Media Office.? But they denied me (in a round about kinda way) and suggest I either write to him (via mail) directly through the team, or, if I could dig up his agent's info, write him through them.

I have the agent's contact info...but considering Eddie responded I'm not going to pursue that avenue directly.

Isn't there a rumour going around that Axl said that he is upset by the leaks but everything will be sorted out when they release the album late March?

It was some dutch reporter who posted it in dutch and it came out to axl saying that this will all be fixed when CD comes out in March.

Okay, 'Better' is leaked and isnt from Trunk-it sounds (from what little we've heard) mastered.

isn't it more likely that instead of this confirming that gn'r did the leak themselves, that perhaps the cd is in the final stages of production and has leaked from a factory or somthing? after all we have heard alot about a march release date.

Watch out for the cease and desist orders to the radio stations. If none are served, It's all a promo stunt.

We know IRS, at least, is a 4 year old demo.  It's a much better quality version of the exact same track Trunk played....which management called an early demo.

I had initially thought the same thing you did...but that piece of info gives me some doubt that's what's happened.
