We're in an economic boom. We just don't know it because of oil prices. We only recognized the 90's boom because Asia was slow then, but is catching up now.

I'll pretend you didn't say that.

But since you brought it up, illegals work jobs that no white boy is gonna do. Period.

They work their asses off, legal and illegal. Every Mexican I have met busts their ass 24/7 (Usually working two jobs) and sends much of their money back to Mexico to help their family, often times building a home in Mexico. And they are grateful as the day is long, although most miss Mexico dearly.

Go ask a contractor who is going to show up and dig the ditches, install the roofs (in the middle of the scorching summer), lay the concrete, and do a good job, never complain and work overtime. Ask them who always wants to work, who never calls in sick etc etc. Go to any resort town and see who is cooking all your food, cleaning your rooms, etc etc.

Australia used to have REALLY bad unemployment rates until people were told they wouldn't just be bludging for the dole(thankyou Mr Howard)  and now they are great.  Despite what some people say, John Howard has done some amazing things for Australia.

But assuming this is an American thread... ignore me and continue.

I know its difficult to be an inmigrant, but the ones to blame, at least in Latin America, is the goverments that are manage so stupidly and never think in their people, take an example here in Ecuador, the principal income in resource are the inmigrants, how the hell does that makes a country goes on? if we have turism, we have oil, we have also food and flowers to sell, but ohh yeah the management here suck, the whole 100% income on those resources are divided by people inside the goverment and never seen by the people, The President can be a corrupt dude and thats why we have had like 7 presidents in 6 years is just unacceptable!
