Quote
B: They are working on 32 songs, 26 are nearly done. Of THOSE (the 32 songs, where 26 are nearly done) 13 will be on Chinese Democracy. That would mean we'd have to wait a little bit longer coz he'd have to pick from 32 songs where he isn't done yet with 6 or 7 seven songs.

I bet you anything this is problem the current plan. I think Axl may have a rough idea of which 13 tracks he wants on Chinese Democracy, but until the other 6 tracks are finished, a final tracklist cant be decided upon.

you can't work on a interlude without a certain tracklist. I assume they've already fixed the sequence of the 13 songs. Or maybe of the 26 songs that are "nearly" finished.

While I agree that they must mean the final cuts, I still think the word "final" ambiguous.
As 2 albums are being made at once, there will be two final albums.

did mysteron ever answer this question?? Did he even see it?

Why should he?

Axl: "We're working on thirty-two songs, and twenty-six are nearly done," he says. Of those, thirteen are slated for the final album"

That whole comment is ambigious.? For all anyone knows, CD could very well be done and they are working on the follow up album.? No one really knows hence why the intial poster who asked the question asked Mysteron and Mysteron did say managment said they are recording 2 albums worth of material, CD and it's successor.

It would be better then Axls band at the minute, there is no difference to what Axl is doing and what Steven is doing.

Most people will be happy with a reunion, a reunion would outshine CD in a second.

When Kiss reunited itthey had one of the most successful tours ever, even better then their tours from the 70s.

Pink Floyd hated each other for years and talked shit about each other in interviews . . . yet they put it all behind them to do live 8.

The point is the biggest interest the GnR name could get would be a reunion.

a reunion for more than a few shows would make them to has-beens who want to life of their old glory imo.........    i think if the reunited for some shows it would be really cool...

There was an article a while back that interviewed people with Geffen, including Tom Zutaut, and basically the moral of the interview was that Axl had become lazy and complacent.  I don't get why there are so many people here ready to make excuses for Axl.  I personally love his music and lyrics, but its not enough for me to give him a pass on everything else.  Its not as if Gn'R has been busy touring the last 3 years.  They have had more than enough time to put down 13 tracks for an album.  When that album does finally see the light of day, I'm sure it will be good, but I am not as fired up about it as some of you are, considering Zutaut and the others basically said Axl was (can't say is) burnt out.  Axl has wasted the prime of his life on one album?  I'm positive he hasn't been working on it 24-7-365 for 10 years.   no
