Slash to be a guest on CBS's Rock Star

Reuters and 6767.com report that Slash will be a guest (judge) on the new series of CBS Rock Star. This season, Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted and Tommy Lee are forming the new band 'Supernova' and will be auditioning singers on the show. The band is schedules to release an album and tour early next year. Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke host the show, and at this point it is not yet known when Slash will make his appearance.

Wasn't Slash n' Duff n' Matt supposed to be the first ones doing something like this show when they were still called "The Project" and were looking for a lead singer?

Let's just hope that if a reunion were to happen, his guest appearance wouldn't affect his touring with GNR.   Grin

Hey, maybe if Axl and Slash are back together by that time, Axl will come along for the ride, chat with Gilby and take him away from Supernova!  hihi

That was a rumor, but it was never substantiated with anything.

I remember that.  Did they actually follow them around and not release the footage?

No, it was used in the Rise Of VR special.  There was no "reality show" angle, they just filmed the Project guys listening to CDs and auditioning some singers.

The show reeks of cheese..... Being a guest is one thing but the show is totally lame... I find it incredibly cheesy.... I lost a little respect for all 3 of those guys....
