Hello everybody !

I was wondering if there was a recent picture of Axl ? What's the last one you know ? I think the last one I've seen was Axl infront of a car, smoking a cigarillo (but maybe it's my mind tricking me Grin)

Anything fresher than that ?

thankx !

the most recent picture of Axl available to the public is this:

Taken in 2004 outside the Village Recording Studios (the 3 guys are studio engineers).

chek it at The Village gallery:

Thankx, that's the last one I've seen ok

It's strange that nobody knows what he looks like these days, it's been almost two years now since he's last "official" appearence Huh

How does he manage to stay away from journalists and photographs ? Or maybe they don't give a damn about him anymore Undecided

I think it's a little bit of both.  Axl has made a living out of avoiding the media.

And the mystery of Axl and his original disappearence has pretty much gone by the wayside with the attempted 2002 comeback.  To the media Axl is now just old, fat, and can't sing anymore.  And with "Chinese Democracy" still not out I don't think anyone other than the die hard fans really care anymore.

I think Axl looks a good deal skinnier in that photo (2004) than he did on the 2002 tour... especially in the face. I don't understand the fascination with the baggy clothes and "braids" though... but to each his own.

As far as no "recent" pictures... I think the media has basically given up... he's impossible to track down... and even if you do... there's no guarantee that the public demand will be there to pay good $$ for the shot... or that you'll even get close enough to get a good shot without earl punching you in the grill. ok

I don't think the 2002 tour really has anything to do with the media not really trying to take pictures of Axl. I don't seem to remember many pictures being published between 94 and 2000. The bottom line is that the people who by celebrity magazines are mainly teenage girls or housewives, and there is not really a big demand in either catagory to see pictures of Axl. Wait until CD comes out and then if it is successful, we will see more attempts by the media to take pictures of Axl since he will be back in the public eye again.

That's because no one really knew where he was between 94 - 2000.  He stayed far away from just about everyone during that time.

Of course the media will be over CD if it comes out.  But right now while GN'R is once again in limbo there's alot less interest in the issue since the failed comeback.

Anyway is it Eric Cadieux on the picture? (the short guy). I think he is a French pro-tools engineer. I'm french too so I tried to contact him once, but never had feedback.

I'm sure there's a thread on this somewhere.... but Axl was recently voted the 2nd coolest "old person" in some teenage girls' magazine (second behind grandparents).

Point is... teenage girls look at the SCOM video and STILL think... "he's hot".peace
