I don't think it will happen because I think (or at least I hope) that Axl learned his lesson from the last go around. That lesson being no more one-off shows when there is really no reason to have them since the album is not done.

Sure it would be awesome if the album was done and they had a new years show to announce that it was done and that they will be touring in the next couple months, but the odds of that happening are not very good.

I think we should just skip ahead and start the annual thread about gnr playing at the superbowl.
There's no reason for a Superbowl thread this year. The lineup has already been announced. If Axl is there, he will be there as a fan.

Fuck why not just go out and jam

I think the whole 'going out' thing is the problem.

Exactly. Most musicians, whether they play in a local bar band or a multi-platimun group love to play live.
Whether it's Axl's psychosis or insecurities or whatever, it's very unfortunate that he doesn't seem to really enjoy just "jamming". Stories of him never being at rehearsal in past years  support this theory.

yeah that's the thing.. man hired guys who love to play only for him not to play..  No normal musician would want to not be with his group playing gigs..Why have a band then?

Could it happen?
Well,yes, theoretically, anything can happen.
Is it likely?
No.
About as likely as alien space ships being buried under the ground that will be activated by lightning as alien beings are transported to the ships in a lightning bolt (I just watched War of the Worlds, cool movie!)

You can make my money Tonight!

I saw them at the HardRock...$250.00 a ticket...seats were terrible. Ron Jeremy's fat ass was sitting at the table I thought was for Cry me. However, I did get my money back...and got back into the show.
Bottom Line-If they aren't having open rehersals again....it cant be a good sign for early 2006.
