How often do you paint your house, condo, loft, etc..? What time of year is best for painting the exterior? What colors do you prefer?

What sort of themes are you interested in for your interior (old world, romantic, modern, etc)?

Well im in the middle of a major revamp of my house at the moment been going on since May and will probably finish in May as well every room has/will be redecorated we used to have a lot of colours red greens blues etc but now its going to a light coloured interia. Exteria wise in england its very rare to paint the outside of your house unless you live in a cottage.

I like white/cream colors mixed with richer colors, like chocolate, purples, turquoises yes

If i had enough money, i'd probably do a new theme once every 2 to every 5 years as i like change and new atmospheres, but as one can't always travel, it's cool to have the home do it? but it takes some money !

I like  modern but comfy modern, and i don't likie it when there is too much stuff in a room as i feel trapped in quickly.
Ideally, stuff disguised in the walls is cool as well as  wardrobes one can't see and PLENTY of cupbards, also i do like cupboards under stairs, it uses the space well, very useful..

Jesus, i could go on and on and ON and ON, because i love that but do yoiu want to know the rest ? Grin

I like Mediterranean, Spanish, Old world colors for my house. Arched door ways, slate, marble, lots of tile. Woodwork etc etc.  I like this style for my home mainly because it is a classic look and won't ever look "dated". It always is what it is: Old world influence and design. A lot of the stuff out now  (in new homes) are too sterile and boring.

The home I am doing now I did lots of light neutral colors, with focus on baseboards and trim (glossy white for a nice shine) to contrast with the wood flooring. Turns out gorgeous that way. It is also an older home (maybe 20 yrs) and everything seemed dark and closed in (old paneling on the walls, which I sheet rocked over). By using these light colors the house seems to flow nice and easy,  and feels very open and breezy.
