He looks original for the part if you ask me, doesn't look like a bond-wannabe.

More than meets the eye

Hey, Stoned nice to see another person who appreciates Timothy Dalton and Licence to Kill

Personally my fav Bond was Pierce Brosnan and fav film Goldeneye - i though they got everything right with that one, amazing sequences, great Bond and villian, intresting plot and those women drool

Very close second Timothy Dalton and both of his superb films - loved the darker side.

Never been a fan of Sean Connery's films, though he was an excellent Bond, the films seem rather dated now and while they have a retro appeal it feels very much like ur watching films from a different era, and an era i never knew

Lazenby and On her majesty's secret service are horrendous - after 22 years of trying to actually finish OHMSS i am yet to achieve it (i'm damn close!) Awful in every way -Sean Connery couldn't have saved that - hell i'm not sure Jesus could inject any life into it!

Roger Moore did a fine job and while Live and let die and The Mna with the Golden Gun are IMHO travesties the rest were good>great - For your eyes only being my fav

As a general rule the newer they get the more i like them -with the exceptions being The World is not Enough and Die another Day which are all effects and no substance - hell both were just stupid most of the time - laser factories? Invisible cars? Wtf?

Top 5

1.Goldeneye (as above)
2.Licence to kill (so dark - great villian and the tanker sequnce is probably my fav Bond moment)
3.The living daylights (gotta love that car)
4.For your eyes only (so many great sequnces - the subs, the VW chase - genius stuff)
5.A View to a kill (Walkern is superb)

(awesome theme songs in each case)

worst (worst first...)

1.Diamonds are forever (ye gods - those ''effects'' - do u think they spent a fiver on them?)
2.From Russia with love (tedious - some action...please!)
3.Live and let die (when u have a 20 min boat chase u know they are compensating for something!)
4.Dr No (just so average)
5.The Man with the golden gun (loads of production probs - and it shows)

As for this new chap playing bond (he looks like he's in his late 50's nervous) - i'll wait and see, but i hold out no real hope....

I like all your 'Worst' films especially Live And Let Die but we'll agree to disagree. Great to see somebody appreciating A View To A Kill Walken has to be my fave Bond bad guy and i love the fact that the film has that awesome dude from The Avengers in it. Timothy Dalton is so damn good and according to the late Desmond dude who played Q and starred alongside all Bonds he was closest to the one in Fleming's books, i mean come one he kept the charisma and coolness and added a dark side and some substance to his character....The others were great but where was the depth?

Worst Bond Films (Casino Royale Spoof Not Included)
1. Moonraker
2. The World Is Not Enough
3. Tomorrow Never Dies

The rest...in there own way i like....overall i am a big fan of the series. Craigy boy is 37 btw!

Seems you don't like old-fashioned films that look a tad dated Izzy.  You see that doesn't bother me, i see them as classics i enjoy them all the same i can ignore that as long as the acting is fine, i mean all the early Bond films look a bit ropey like the car scenes clearly done in the studio with moving backgrounds but what the hey they still rock! I mean you could say well it makes it obvious it's not real...that it's only a film, but so does the fact that their recognisable actors who you've seen in various other roles....with the exception of the latter end of the 80s the more recent the Bond films the worse.  End of the 80s ruled as i'm sure you agree dude, A View To A Kill (1985), Living Daylights (1987), License To Kill (1989), now that for me is an awesome triple bill that unfortunately most reviews would slate....oh well....each to his own

In the future  Ewan McGregor  should try out for the part, He could reincarnate the Roger Moore type of Bond.

Not a bad idea i think he could carry that level of chessyness, yeah the dude could pull it off, he'll probably suit it better in a few years, he's probably still a bit to young for the part or young looking at least...

Lol - have u seen the plot for the new film? ''Bond has to stop a spy winning a game of poker''

Yawn

Q and Moneypenny have been written out

I hope this film isn't another From Russia with love - people seem to love it, but it bores the hell out of me!

The guy who's gonna play the new James Bond kicked motherfuckin ass in the movie Layer Cake. I may actually go back to the theaters to see a James Bond if he's in it. I just hated the episodes with Pierce Brosnan as Bond.

Timothy Dalton has always been my favorite Bond hands down, with License to Kill being my all time favorite Bond movie. He simply brought something to the character that was lacking, a dark and intriguing side that Pierce Brosnan has taken a liking to crapping all over. Goldeneye was the last good Bond film in my opinion as well as the best first person shooter ok
