Whatever Axl is doing in regards to CD I think he is smart to not talk. It creates mystery and people want what they can't have...in this case: information about him and CD.

When he is ready, I believe he will drop the album, honestly.

I agree with SLC.... Think about how 99% of us on this forum talk about the mystery shrouding CD.  While, if there was none... it wouldn't be as exciting!!!  Its like those little packets you get in shoe boxes that say "DO NOT EAT" you want to eat them SOOO bad.        Or is that just me?

Richard nixon, good point. That is why people are still waiting on GNR. If Axl had followed Def Leppard and released a 'Slang', nobody would give a fuck anymore. Its the fact that GNR disappeared that keeps people hanging around. If an album had been released in 1995-96, I think its safe to say that 90% of the people here wouldn't be here. I'm in that 90%. This album is gonna bring major closure to peoples' lives, and its gonna be great. Its like reading a book and there's a chapter missing, and years later you finally get that missing chapter.

Also "Slang" and "Generation Swine" were pretty weak albums. The Nu-GN'R songs are much, much better.

Man, what is with all this Poison gay talk in here. I don't see how you can like musicians who can't play there instruments and be allowed to speak in a GNR message board. There should be a HTGTH Law against this. If you are a fan of the Backstreet Boys and the Posisons of the world, there will be an immediate ban and you have to retire to the Timberlake boards with the rest of the 13 year old girls and gay dudes.

Buddha we've had this discussion before. ?Putting Poison in the same category as the Backstreet Boys shows how ignorant you are on this matter. ?Poison can play their instruments...not as good as GN'R, but they can still play them pretty well. ?You obviously don't know what you're talking about, so refrain from making ignorant comments please. ?Anyway, back on topic...I have to agree with RichardNixon, I really can't think of another band that has had a comparable run to that of GN'R. ?Any other band that has gone this long with next to nothing happening would be absolutely finished.

There is something very special about Axl Rose, that only a few singers have--Elvis, Lennon, and a few others.

While people may be huge fans of any one artist, Axl Rose commands a certain loyalty and devotion that few others have. To his fans, he is almost like a messiah?a Christ like figure that is almost put beyond the status of a human. To his fans he is a tortured genius, and someone that means a lot to a lot of people.

But the paradox is that Axl is one of the most vilified and reviled figures in rock. And a lot of people just can?t seem to understand the loyalty and obsession of the hard-care Axl-ite.? ?

While I understand that Axl Rose is just a man, to me he will always be something a little more. His music has touched and helped me in such a profound way over the years, he has my undying loyalty.

I think a lot of the hard-core Axl fans feel the same way. And as long as he has us, he will never fade away.? ?

um, so tell me dude. When did one of these pirates when a guitar, drummer, or vocalist award of any kind? Anyway, my comparison is more spot on then you give it credit for. Both poison and backside boys cater (or catered) to little girls. But its ok if you like them. Its cool you are so comfortable with your masculinity that you can talk proud of liking poison, Liza Minelli, and broadway so openly.
