I don't know if this is really dead horse but I think it's a good question.
Did GN'R ever plan to release one of the 2002 shows?
I've heard that once about Pittsburgh show that it was planned for release and then it was cancelled. Is that true anyway?
If it is, it means a lot. I'll explain later.

Not to my knowledge. The only show that was planned for release (on DVD) was the first Vegas show.

Look, if they released the show it would mean that Axl would be happy with the current team. It would also mean that their show was one of their best...
Rio should be released (like Maiden did) so the people would learn about the new band.
I don't get why GN'R had such a crap equipment. Money perhaps?

so with your idea, the only perfect lineup of Guns N' Roses in Axl's point of view is TOKYO 92!

Sort of, but not the perfect. It would be risky to release something when you still don't know if your partners will remain or not. The Tokyo thing is a big story anyway. They should have released ritz and one from the European or the American tour in 92.

There have been rumors about the MSG show at the time - 3 years ago - but since everything kinda fell apart ever since, I guess the project got scrapped, if it ever existed. Vegas 2001 is still in some warehouse in Japan...

We need a studio album first then they need to release a live dvd. It is a shame the only official live Guns dvd is the Tokyo shows. IMO they are terrible. They should have reelased something from the leg of the tour without the entourage and just the band. the Skin and Bones leg. I still cant remember was that the first leg with Stradlin or the last leg of the tour ??

They never released that.
It was just a pay per view thing.
