The Retail Therapist
These are the people who buy to ease emotions. Items usually include chocolate, perfume and lipstick

Bargain Hunter
Shoppers that treat shopping like a sport. These are the sort of people who chuck a u-turn in the middle of the highway when they spot a sale.

Grab and Go
Is the kind of person that doesn't like shopping, but that doesn't mean thier watching thier pennies. this person can be quite a loyal customer if treated well by sales assistants.

Lone Browser
doesn't like the crowds. This shopper tends to look for what's new in fashion, and when thier browsing, thier doing just that.

Social Shopper
These people treat shopping as a three or four day social occasion. They shop in packs; some may even go on bus shopping tours. Their aim is to have fun and spend big; they don?t need much attention from shopping assistants.


Personal opinion - i am definatly a Grab And Go shopper, i love shopping but hate being there for ages....
the last thing i brought was 4 days ago and that was a sterio with surround sound speakers!!! and then i went into the shops the other day and saw that now it is on sale.... but when i see something i really want i just have to get it then and there....
i think maybe it's a curse

I like bargains. The Goodwill is my mall. I found a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans in great condition for only $4.oo /really really cheap euros. Unfortunately for me, they were a size double zero. I tried them on, but I could only get one leg in. So, I had to settle for some Old Navy and American Eagle threads, but they were equally as cheap.

I am both that, i tend to look first and come back one day, and buy all i noticed at one go in my size, and when i do buy, it's because i know i can, so i don't watch the price.

If i don't have enough, i don't buy. I prefer to have what i like, wear it every day and buy again.

one crazy thing, when girls shop, they first always carry this HUUUGE wallet, with all their lives in it, like 20 of their boyfriend pictures.
and when they get to the desk to pay, they get the clothes. pay. and then take 50 minutes to put all the reciept in the wallet. put the credit card back in his little place, and then close the monstruous wallet. all that, standing at the very same place. with the whole line waiting behind them.

when i'm with my girlfriend, i just take her wallet, reciept, cards and throw them in the clothes bag, and we go

grab and go definitely...I hate shopping...if I can get it on the internet...even better!!! It's just boring...I'd rather buy CDs, computers, video equipment, anything other than clothes, dishes, sheets, etc...

i love going to sales at shops and buy way cool cheap stuff..
i brought an awsome jacket that is usually $160.00 and i got it for $120.00 last week !! i was stoked !!

Bargin.

I often pick things up for free that people say are 'broken' and fix them and keep them. I got my mower like that out west. Ran fine when I gave it to my neighbor before I moved.

The rest, I shop around or buy used.

I waffle between "Grab and Go" and "Bargain Hunter".  It all depends on the purchase:  Grab and Go for small stuff, Bargain Hunter for big ticket items.

My wife is a bargain hunger all the way.


Also, I "hunt" when I shop...I don't "gather".  I go to stores (or online) for something very specific (a white shirt, for example).  I storm into the store, find the white shirt, and leave.  I DO NOT look at every white shirt in the place, comparing price, style, value, etc on each piece of clothing before making a choice.  Thus, I "hunt" my shirt.

I was a bargin hunter on the weekend...

i took a 2 hour trip to bunbury to go shopping, went there with $700 and came home with $20.00 left in my account
