i just went to join a metallica site and they want to charge me $25.00 a month!!!

i think i just mite stik to my GNR board...

why would they charge so much Huh

I just have to say if its not free is not worthy ther are many other boards that are free and talk about the same group, I really don't know what board cause I dont care bout metallica but There has to be  ok

you cant join over the internet you have have to print out the sheet and send or fax it to them...

www.metallica.com is actually run by the band... you have to pay for a membership there too...

and i cant remember seeing any special offers....

all i wanted to be able to do is chat on boards like this, but to have to pay for it !!! NO WAY   Embarrassed

Um... if it's owned by metallica it shouldn't surprise anyone that they would charge to have access to the site.  They've got to recoup their losses, since they're thisclose to the welfare rolls thanks to music download sites like napster.

i realise that, but it was the other fan site that was charging that amount...

the metallica.com was also charging and yes i do see why they would do that!!
