That does sound cool, i heard months back Johnny Depp wanted him to play his old man but nothing had been confirmed, is this actually official now?? Do you have a link?

It seems to be just gossip at the mo, and its been written in many places for months

Jack Sparrow was based on Keither Richards so it would be intresting to see his response!

They are filming part 2 and 3 already, like they did with Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, and Keith Richards is not in the cast list for either film. There is only one other person with the name Sparrow in the character listing for part 2 and its a little girl. It appears Jack has a little daughter possibly.

When Johnny Depp was on Jay Leno's show last week, he mentioned Keith Richards playing his father in the movie. He said there was a good chance that he'd be in the sequel.

absolutely since Sparrow original character was geared towards Keith in the first place...never saw Keith as having the discipline for acting though...he's rather shy...we'll see...
