I just saw Mr. Plant last night...in my 'hood...2 miles from my house. Good show. PPBEBE, he ended with Whole Lotta Love. He played a lot of Zep classics but rearranged them nicely. I like it when an artist puts a different spin on their songs....our little redhead should learn a few tricks from the masters! peace beer OOOOOOOHHHHHH MY HEAD, ROCK ROCK! ok
Angry Aren't ya one lucky bustard?  Wink
Me too likes it when they put new spin on any familiar songs but honestly I'm not a big fan of solo acts with the exception of the case like NIN where an artist makes all the parts.

Kashmir, alias CIA = Celt India Arabia, is real mind-blowing. I like it the best of all Zep songs, then Night flight, No quarter, stairway or whatever the second. But when it comes to earthshattering sound, I'd say, it gotta be "Whole Lotta Love, led with Moby Dick". It has the definite sound of the shaking of the earth owing mostly to John Bonham and JPJ.

BTW the theme of 2001 a space odyssey might be the one. By Strauss was it?
Or else some compositions of Wagner, Beethoven, Bach and so forth are earthshattering in like manner.
Such Old music from the ice age?  Aye, The song remains the same. headbanger

Have you ever noticed the guitar riff of Civil War is the same as No Quarter? Just slightly sped up. PPBEBE, he played No Quarter too however, I didn't really like the way he mixed that one up-not spooky enough!

Nay, Wow, true. I've never imagined this.
Their good cut n paste / quote job I've unfortunately come across is chiefly Rolling Stones' influence on the UYI songs.
Well, Jimmy Page himself is supposed to be very good at it too?or rather, a master of it. Undecided

No Quarter

Aye, Jonessie was damn great.  Maybe he was the heart of Led Zeppelin. Tongue
I think Chris the mother goose looks a bit like him.
maybe like JPJ he can pull the spooky magic on the GN'R sound. Grin

Roberts new album is really cool. Sounds a very genuine album, one that he wanted to record, but without thinking about it too much (which I believe maybe Axl's problem). I've met him a couple of times, great bloke!

Must go and listen to No Quarter, thats the second Zep track in a week that someone has said to me sounds like GNR!

I haven't heard any 'Earth Shattering' albums recently, although I was very impressed by Muse's latest album, its sounded very unique and epic.

crtain parts of IRS are earth shattering for me. same for the last part of "the blues". It could sound huge in studio.

Nesquick, I agree with you about 'The Blues', although I think the entire song is incredible. I think its one of the so called 'Big Guns'. I have a feeling it's gonna be one of the major highlights of the album.
