I heard that all the songs on TSI are cover versions. I think it's true I've heard all the songs by other artists. Apparently the idea of the name came from one of the ex-drummers spilling spaghetti on himself. lmao.

they could have done worse to.
,I think it was pretty cool that they didn't do your typical song that always gets covered.

TSI was the wrong album at the wrong time. Since alot of this album was done in 1991, I always thought that there should have been a special box set that contained both Illusions discs, and a bonus disc of the punk covers. This album should have never been a legitimate release. In 1993, GNR should have been concentrating on creating something to counteract the grunge movement. Instead, all they did in 93 was milk Illusions to the point of overkill and release TSI. GNR's decision making in 1993 was a stain on the bands legacy.

Twisted, 1993 was truly the year the band died. Even though the lineup was still intact, a cover album is all they offered. Truly pathetic considering the bands talents. This is when GNR basically became a joke to much of the music world. It was obvious that they had nothing whatsoever to offer the new emerging musical landscape. 1993-94 had some very interesting albums. Soundgarden's 'Superunknown', Live's 'Throwing Copper', Porno for Pyros, STP,etc. It still to this day boggles the mind that GNR couldn't do ANYTHING to go up against this onslaught. And here we are, in 2005, and GNR STILL hasn't done anything to counteract the various movements that have occured since the mid 90's. Could you imagine Led Zep hibernating in the mid 70's after Led Zep 4 and not ever doing anything again? Imagine the masterpieces we would have never heard!! 'No Quarter', 'Dancing Days', 'Kashmir', 'Ten Years Gone', etc.
