well even if its big im american i can assure you rock's not gonna be popular in the crappy uk for a long time. To many chavs and idiots with no good music choice.

rock (or at least 'guitar bands') are VERY popular in the UK right now. sure there's always gunna be RnB and boy/girl band pop in the charts but the UK has got ALOT of very popular rock acts right now.

sure; they're not all good, but they are very popular. also GNR is still VERY popular in the UK. this is not bullshit! go into almost any pub in the uk (or at least where i live) on a saturday night and at some point during the evening you'll hear 'SCOM' or 'Paradise City'

anyway, my point is that there's still a very big market in the UK for Rock, more so that a few years ago.

Izzy, how can you not like Bo Bice?  He worked at the Guitar shop about five miles from my house so I guess I am partial.  Maybe you don't like southern rock or something.  If he does a record with Clive Davis, he will be on the same label as VR.  That is why I joked about a collaboration.  Ya, I know it won't happen, but I think Bo is a pretty cool guy who was just himself.  I would pay more money to see Bo then see Carrie.  Carrie will do good at first, but to be honest, Vonzell had the better voice.  Bo is just too classic rock to make it big I think, but I will buy his album.  He has a hella voice.  Good stage presance, not sure what you didn't like.  He didn't fit the American Idol mold because you can't mold a guy like Bo, he is who he is.  It is better he didn't win, because now he can just rock.  Am I way wrong?  I just wish his break wasn't American Idol.  Its like he will forever be linked to that gae show.  Oh well.

I always thought you could choose to read (or not to read) any thread started here at HTGTH.  Some of the posted replies were pretty interesting.  I didn't know Bo will be on the same label as VR.  That's pretty cool.  I've actually heard some people say Bo didn't try hard at the end because he already had a record deal with Clive Davis all set up, and winning The American Idol may have affected his future success negatively.

...also, regarding the 500 million votes.  Obviously, there are many, many people who vote repeatedly.  Do I think more Americans voted in the last presidential election than American Idol?  Yes, definitely.

I've had some free time lately and I watched some of this show after hearing the BO BICE hype.

Folks MR BO BICE is hardly a rocker. If by "rocker" you mean a rocker like the fuckers from Good Charlotte are rockers then yes!

Commercial hype put in "rugged clothing" and made to look like a "Badass" theres your rocker for you! Package him up and ship him out to the homes of all the pre-teen girls who pray to their Timberlake posters!

Its official, Bo Bice is Signed with RCA Records.  Now my Slash/Bo colaboration is not so unlikley...  And don't say Slash would never do it.  Hell, he did Blackstreet and Jacko.  I think Bo is better then those two.  I just noticed that Clay Aiken and Diana Degarmo are signed there as well..... mmm... honestly its just a matter of opinion... I dont like Bo Bice... and I think he sucks... anyway it all depends on Slash.. to make duet if he wants it....
