Estranged, you didn't buy Greatest Hits either? I thought I was one of the only people who didn't buy that. Any self respecting GNR fan would not buy that garbage. The only point of its release was to put money in their pockets. Not my money!

Not in my CD collection. Since I own all their other albums not sure wtf I need a GH cd for......

GNR's previous labels, Interscope and Geffen, are owned by Universal Music Group (which appears to also own gnronline.com; http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/whois/results.jhtml;jsessionid=Z5IXYYTSRAAU4CWMEAQCFEY?whoistoken=0&_requestid=395460). Axl signed with Sanctuary recentlyish, they will release CD. Sanctuary also aquired the rights to GNR's back catalogue a while ago, or at least limited rights.

Sanctuary is the manager of Guns N' Roses, and Axl has a contract with Sanctuary Music Publishing. But the record company is still Universal.

Yeah, whoops. I should have read that back Tongue Interscope, or whichever division of UMG draws the short straw, will be responsible for Chinese Democracy.

Here's another question though; How many albums does Axl owe Universal? Is it just this one or will GNR still be shackled to UMG for the next few releases? I'm assuming Axl owes them one or two more albums because I recall him saying (years ago now) that there was the chance of getting more than one album out of the material that the new band has already recorded.
