round one? I dunno, only Uncle Axl knows what the plan was. Certainly we are all in the dark as to what happened in Philly.

I wouldn't give VR too much credit for what they accomplished. It was a very good effort but they clearly don't have as much on the line as Axl does right now, not only his professional career but also his livelihood.  Clearly VR never found themelves on the succeed or die mission on which axl is currently booked.

You wouldnt give VR too much credit for what they've done because of what? because they didnt "have as much on the line as axl" .. ?! Oh my god , that is plain silly.

So now if a band can write and record a hit record , tour successfully behind it , win awards and garner worldwide attention it isnt much of an accomplishment because axl "has more on the line" then said band?  Roll Eyes

Let me tell you right now that those guys had alot "on the line" .. scott had his whole life .. slash and duff had probably their last chance at becoming "big" again , duff left school to do the rockstar thing again. How you pulled out this "as much on the line as axl" line is beyond me .. how that affects any other bands "accomplishments" escapes me totally.

And if Axl is on a succeed or die mission how much time is he alloted before he dies? Shouldnt he be dead after the failed 2002 tour? Is the record company gonna actually have him snuffed out if democracy isnt a hit? Pretty dramatic statements KillingVector , always good for a laugh.

Are you starting your bad behaviour again? I would suggest you refrain from insulting me or we could have a problem again.

My point is that axl hasn't released anything because he alone has his entire career resting on this record. The individual members had no such ultimatum put on their career; they could have succeeded or failed and moved on. I doubt Slash would experience the same public humiliation if CB tanked that axl would if CD flopped, not to mention litigation from the label who would no doubt want their seed money back. That is my point.

Roll Eyes A problem again?! Oh geez , you arent gunna whine to jarmo like you did the gnrbar admins to have me banned from here too are you? What is this kindergarten? You make statements about axl that are silly .. how dire things are. Life or death and all that crap. if democracy flops axl's life isnt over , he isnt gonna lose his house. he could without a doubt record yet another album if he wanted.

My point is that axl hasn't released anything because he alone has his entire career resting on this record. How would you know or even be able to guess thats the reason why axl hasnt released anything? How could you say slash wouldnt be heavily embarrased if contraband would have flopped? I think thats overstepping the boundries of your knowledge as someone behind a computer who really knows NOTHING about these people and their lives. You really think axl will get sued if democracy doesnt do well? LMAO .. it's like this .. before that album is released to the world it has to be APPROVED by the label. They make the decision if the album is good enough and/or ready for release .. so if they OK the album they cant turn around and sue axl if it doesnt do well.

I wouldnt doubt the label will have a big role in deciding the lead off single too.

classic killingvector .. classic.

and this was the same person who was speculating if axl was going to pursue a producer's career.

btw, the whole bar thing stays at the bar. You wouldn't want me to embarass you with what happened.

As for here, the fact is that you insulted me. I didn't ask for it and don't ever want to hear it again.

And yes, axl's recording career rests on the success of this album. And yes I expect the label to try to get its money back if the album tanks because I would wager their investment is for more than one album. $13 million plus for a band that hasn't been on the public stage since 93? Someone will get litigous at Universal.....

Theres alot of diffeence between speculating if axl would ever want to become a producer in the future compared to "if this democracy album isnt a success axl will die"  rofl

btw, the whole bar thing is to stays at the bar. You wouldn't want me to embarass you with what happened.

Embarrass me? The fact that after me and you had an agruement at that place you cried to your internet slut , sharon and she had me banned doesnt embarass me in the least Erik. Your over dramatic , over bearing and over active personality has never emabarrased me. I dont get embarassed when grown men cry like little girls. Thats their hang up. But you are right ... YOU should have kept that at the bar , as YOU brought it up here talking about me "starting bad behaviour again" ... you dont want what happened at the bar brought up then you need not bring it up. If you wanna comment further on "the bar" then HTGTH has a GREAT PM service , use it. Send me a PM but dont sully up this thread with your whining and complaining because I'm sure if left to your own devices you would drag it on and on in the thread until a mod is forced to lock it.  Roll Eyes

I think your wrong on all accounts. If you feel insulted by anything I said in a previous reply in this thread then you must lead a very very sheltered life Erik. If you think axl's career rests on this album then I must disagree. If this album flops theres nothing stopping him from trying again. And if the label doesnt think the album axl presents to them will make their money back then surely they wont take a chance and release it. I would imagine that the label has confidence in the music and has heard it ... I'm sure sanctuary has confidence in it or they wouldnt have bought up the publishing rights.

Anyways , dont drag your vendetta's and baggage from the bar to HTGTH Erik , nobody here wants to read it , especially me. If you have a problem with me take it to PM's or just keep your mouth shut about the matter , simple as that.

One more thing , theres a couple people at bh.tk who you owe a dvd too , I'm sure yours have arrived by now as people in lower branches have gotten theres. be a man and try and have those shipped asap. Kudos.  ok

and if someone said that axl would "die" because of an album release, they would be silly. But of course no one in this thread speculated that axl's mortality was in jeopardy.

funny how you could have used PM to articulate this but didn't.

Once again, bar business belongs at the bar, not here. I never brought it up and only responded to you when you decided to insult me for rendering my opinion in this thread. You stepped over the line with your comments toward me, not my opinion. This is the difference between you and me; I don't make judgements on people based on their opinions. I don't take messageboard posts personally as you no doubt have. Leave your comments toward me and sharon for PMs and the bar. Leave that filth out of this place.

You directed your criticism toward me not my point of view. I respect everyone's right to express whatever opinion they have. I would never make judgements about their personal lives based on some post about Axl Rose on a messageboard. Perhaps you need to consider refraining from these sharp, gratuitous insults.

Actually I haven't. I've been housesitting for the past three weeks; a neighbor has been picking up my mail, which usually only consists of magazines and mail spam. I will stop by this weekend and see if it has arrived. thanks for the heads up.

Take your stupid fight elsewhere.

Calling somebody an "internet slut" shows how classy your "conversation" is.
