My GnR Proposal

I do believe the new lineup has been together as long as the old lineup 

can we stop calling them new gnr or even more scary "nuGnR"?  How about we call them Guns N' Roses..  thats the name of the band.  Its disrespectful to call them anything else.  And we can refer to the old lineup as Old GNR.

Not to be an asshole.......(I love the old GnR as much as u guys do) but AXL IS GNR. There would or could be no GnR without his involvement. And as we can plainly see when Chinese Democracy is released there WILL be a GnR without Izzy,Slash,Matt, and Duff. Axl owns the music and the name so its rightfully his. Im not defending his taking the GnR name for himself, Im simply stating the fact. The Fact IS that AXL owns the name GnR. So whatever he intends to do with whatever band if its his band its Guns N' Roses. I know that makes alot of u uncomfortable but........

Legally, yes. Whether it stands up musically and stylistically as GN'R is for the fans to decide.

And to the original poster: without wishing to start some sort of slagging match, maybe once they've released some official material or completed a tour they'll be called GN'R

This is a pointless thread that's going to turn into another "is Axl keeping the name Guns N' Roses justified?" endless debate.
You can edict as many rules as you want. In the end people will call them what they want to call them.
