In the Anthony Keidis autobiography I am almsot through reading there are a couple of GNR references. First is that after the first guitarist sadly passed away Buckethead auditioned for the band. The second is that they nearly did not let chad join as he had a GNR haircut and the third is that Anthony had the same vocal coach as Axl when he was recording  calafornication.
Great book buy it and realise that Anthony is more of a junkie than a singer. I do  not mean this in a negative way but the demons he faced are overwheling.

yeah Ive heard those stories before. where I read it, they went like "what the hell, is he a member of M?tley Cr?e? get him outta here" when they saw Chad the first time hihi

I ordered the book like a week ago, hope I get it damn soon! ok

Absolutley fucking mindblowing book! Gotta have respect people like that who have led such a life and are still alive to tell their tale! As someone else posted, I agree can you imagine how amazing it would be if Axl published his autobiography!!!!!!!!!!!

Does Kiedis talk about about being gay?  I have never figured out if he is or if he isent.  Does anyone know?

as far as I know he likes chicks. maybe he is bisexual, but definitly not Gay.
