I think so, and I think you can listen to it afterwards if you miss it.

They did play more.  And they played the songs because they like them.

What do you mean they did play more?

"Closer" was the first song they picked and then it ended with the two punk tracks. After that they played "You Got No Right" and the DJ mentioned the upcoming tourdates.

That might have ended the interview portion, but when I was listening it was just Slash and Duff and they played a bunch more songs, including "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Prince, "All My Life" by the Foo Fighters, "Ocean Song" by Led Zepplin, "Roses" by Outkast, "Down On The Farm" by UK Subs, and "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus & Chaka Khan.  Each song was introduced with some comments.  Im pretty sure they played some more, but I cant recall what.

Weird.

The DJ was saying how nice they were and that he was a bit nervous meeting legends like that.

Maybe I turned it off to early then.  hihi

Yeah...that portion was probably pre-taped.

Duff talked about meeting Prince around the time of the Illusions tour.? He said he towered over Prince as they hung out in a candle-lit backroom.?

He also talked about playing "Down On The Farm" at Farm-Aid.

He said that Foo Fighters have helped carry the flag for rock since 1995, and that he was at Dave Grohls studio a few weeks ago and heard half of the new FF album.? He said its heavy.? Slash and Duf had a little trouble remembering the exact title of their chosen FF song, but said it was a great single.? Slash told their younger listeners that nowadays its just about popping in a CD, but he grew up with real albums.?

Slash talked about how much he loved Zepplin, and hearing "The Ocean" takes him back to when he was 14.

Duff expressed the importance of a great groove, which is why he loves a lot of old fuck records.? Both he and Slash said they would always play Cameos "Word Up" at soundchecks, and sounded disappointed that Korn beat them to a cover, but said they might cover "Tell Me Something Good."? Duff said he loves The Love Below from Andre3000, and "Roses" has a great groove.

They also played "Tie Your Mother Down" by Queen, and said theyve recorded it already, theyre just waiting for vocals.

Said Nine Inch Nails version of "Hurt" is great, but Johnny Cashs is killer.

Slash said "Helter Skelter" is probably his all-time favorite British song.

Heres what they played.? Thanks to HermesPhanduck at the VR board...

Rolling Stones - It's Only Rock And Roll
Thin Lizzy - Whisky In A Jar
Queens Of The Stone Age - Feelgood Hit Of The Summer
Aerosmith - Round And Round
Rufus - Tell Me Something Good
Uk Subs - Down On The Farm
Led Zeppelin - Ocean
Prince - Nothin Compares 2 U
Foo Fighters - One By One
Beatles - Helter Skelter
9 Inch Nails - Closer
Alice In Chains - Rooster
Queen - Tie Your Mother Down
Velvet Revolver - Dirty Little Thing
Johny Cash - Hurt
Outkast - Roses

Yeh, the second show was called OnClick where they get guest presenters to fill the hour from 3 until the breakfast show starts at 4am. Sounds like the links are pre-recorded and the show is put together before airing, cuz u can hear distinct editing of slash n duffs comments. the rock show sounded live though??

also, wots this about you got no right being the uk promotional single?! whats the bloody single now?! STB then DLT now YGNR??

Im sure YGNR will do better in the UK so maybe its just for the UK, cuz we dont really have any rock radio. I cant imagine a day that ill turn the radio on and hear DLT!
