What do you guys think? Axl waiting for the u.s.a election to be over before releasing Chinese Dem.?
The mood should change in the u.s.a. after the election, thats a great time to drop the new album. I would say about 2 months after. I think Axl's waiting for the right time and state of the world. What that is or when, who knows!!!

the U.S. presidential election on Nov.2nd.....

I understood what you wrote, but I'm not sure if the actual president has anything to do with CD. Axl could have even released it before Bush II. I don't think that Axl delayed the release of CD just because Bush was/is the president of USA.

Mikka, Don?t be nasty.

I think that?s not impossible coz politics has not less influences on the music industry and allied industries than on any other business circles. Also on glancing over what Tommy said @ the pretzel interview, yeah, I see it rather reasonable for them to take the effects of this election into consideration on planning. For instance the system may well change for the better for them from Today.

Be afraid, be very afraid.....Bush is back in power!! But it also mean its a great time to drop the new Chinese's Dem album....as the U.S.A. falls...and we see the rise of China.

Since Bush has won he election it seems that CD is postponed for another 4 years.

PS: Yes, politics has some things to do with business, and with the music industry, too, but there isn't any musician who was banned during Bush. Everyone can say what he/she wants, don't forget that although USA went to a fascist.like direction, it's still not fascism, or nazism or communism yet. They will release CD when Axl wants to release it.

You surely don't know anything about history, so you'd better go to a library.  yes Fascism, communism and nacism have a lot in common. To mention only one FACT: Mussolini started his politician carrier as a fan of Marx. I don't know why I even bother myself telling a 13-years old about anything. Go to school and learn it.

learn history ? ! how about the end of the second world war ? who defeated the nazis ? the US and UK all by themselves?  hihi yeah right, COMMUNIST RUSSIA HELPED  A LOT. I'll advice you to pick up John Keegan's 'CHURCHILL. a bibliography written about England's PM.

BTW I guess the thought of Marx itself was not that all evil. Strangely the ideas like welfare were of benefit to our capitalism societies but not to the communist countries. "One party rule" never does any good. Maybe Differences being all we have in common are the mother of evolutions?

Aye, it?s definitely set already, I reckon.
.. The things may have something to do with the government policies are, I think, the way how to promote the album and tour, and the stuffs in relation to the distribution system. They could affect not the when n why but the how n where of the project.

Your opinion proves again that you know nothing about history. If you want it, I'll give you some history lessons in PM, 'cause I'm a history teacher. I know it'd be a long lesson, but I think it worths the time. Just one thing to beginners: Communist Russia was called USSR and they didn't help the Western civilization against Hitler because Stalin liked the Western civilization and was a real fan of human rights or he wanted to save the Jews. Hell, no. Stalin first made a disgusting agreement with the nazis in 1939, it's called the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. They divided Eastern Europe and agreed not to attack each other. Then the World Wour II could have begun, the two evil attacked Poland.
In the second half of the war, USSR supported GBR, because Stalin wanted to control Eastern Europe after the war. Not because of ethics, or human rights, or he wanted a nazi free world. No. He only wanted a USSR dominated world. And in the end of the war, USSR occupied most of the Central and Eastern European countries, including my home land, Hungary, and they had their troops here for more than 40 years! Have you heard about the revolution of Hungary in 1956? You should have, for sure.
Another thing: don't believe everything is written. Read more books, then you'll be closer to the truth. BTW it's a really bad idea to think that communism is on the left side and nazism is on the right side (BTW nazism is not fascism - fascism is really so much closer to communism than nazism, just think of the corporation etc.). If I had to picture the systems, I'd do it as a circle: communism is quite on the left and nazism is on the right, but they are much closer to each other than to democracy (or even monarchy).

PS: I didn't vote for Bush. First, I don't live in the US, second I wouldn't have voted for the two big parties, neither the Republicans, nor the Democrats.

PS2: so, Axl won't release CD until Hillary Clinton comes in 2008?

I pitty your students. but just a few points I'd like to underline.

- you said ''Stalin liked the Western civilization and was a real fan of human rights or he wanted to save the Jews. Hell, no. '' I know ,so what? and you actually think the U.S was a real fan of human rights and wanted to save the Jews ? HELL NO. They came in late, just after pearl harbor, and yes, PH got hit because they were providing the UK with Food and provisions, AKA getting EUROPE in debt. it's all about the $$$$, Stalin was as guilty as The US to do so.
You're from Hungary, that explains it all. But When did we go from the word Communism to Imperialism huh ? I know the Soviet Union was Imperialist  just like the US, that's why they tore every third world country in half. But? just because they were Imperialist it doesnt mean the word 'Communism' has anything to do with? Imperialism, or even Fascism. Lets take Nicaragua for example... Sandinista Revolution, the people, 'indios' are fed up with being poor, illiterate etc, they take their arms, create a revolution and stay in power, Serious steps fwd are made in providing the people with schools, libraries, welfare, respect for human rights and aboriginous tongues... notice how the sandinista movement had nothing to do with fascism? Tongue, to make the long story short, The U.S. comes in , and now Nicaragua is the third poorest country in the world...

How'd you like them books now? hihi

Me personally thinks it wont affect at all. Releasing and album and touring behind it is the same now as it was years ago, and it will continue to be the same no matter who's the president of the united states.

Do you think "the boss" will suffer now that his candidate has lost the race to the white house? Will he have to start a new career by playing in the subway???.  hihi The answer is simple, he will continue to sell millions and he will still play yo soldout crowds, not only in the usa, but all over de world.

Selling of Chinese Democracy won't be affected by political issues. The cd will sell if it's good (which it will be, no doubt about it from what we've already heard), if it's well promoted and if the stars align correctly hihi

If politics and world events don't have an effect on when the album is released...well then look at the name of the album and also half of the songs and what they stand for and mean. You don't think Axl and his music is not influenced by politics and world events??
