In all the interviews I read from current members of GNR, they refer to "they" when it comes down to questions about CD. " I will talk to them soon"...."I will go back to them in a short while"...."They said bla bla bla"....

Who is/are "they"Huh?? Axl + HuhHuh

(Sorry if I post this in the wrong section)

That is exactly what I want to know... The interviews make it look like every person in the band is on the outside looking in.... If I were answering questions about my band I would say "we".  I mean this is something a "session" artist would say  Undecided

No because Dizzy and Tommy both say the same thing. So that means that the bandmembers don't know very much about it. Dizzy said he heard a few tracks and so did Tommy. A few tracks, and they will check with "them" soon.....

WHO THE HELL ARE THEY?HuhHuh It's all getting too mysterious, I'm losing it!  crying

isn't it pretty obvious that these musicians are just that, session musicians? i mean, axl has full control over the band and does whateve the fuck he wants. thats session musicians if you ask me. thats why they say they and not we, because we doesn't know shit, they do, and they decide who we are! hihi

I think Jarmo is right when he said "The rest of the band" because both Dizzy and Tommy are on the road with their solo gigs.  I think Tommy even said to Jarmo in the HTGTH interview in Sweden that he'll check in and be brought up to snuff on what's happening in GNR when he gets home before he can see when or if he'll be able to do any more solo tours early next year.

Why does he even want to do more solo stuff? Imagine working on your first album with gnr and having been missing from the group for so many months ,would you want to keep on touring for your solo project.. I'd be so excited listening to the finished songs and keeping an eye on what's going on..

Maybe because Tommy might be a realist and knows it's been nine years since GNR released a new album.? Plus I would think that he knows more than us about the "legal" issues and delays going on.? So in the meantime, making money with his solo stuff to be able to put food on the table and pay the rent is a good thing, don't you think?

P.S.? If you haven't already listened to it, VGH is a really good album (IMO).? Tommy's is right to be proud of it and to show it off to live audiences.

He might very well be walking the fine line of wether it will come out or not..  He might be very sure on the outside but have serious doubts on the inside.. I am happy for him and his solo work, I just wish the other stuff would happen already..

I think there is an inner circle of people 'in the know'. People Axl trusts with his life. Besides Mysteron  Wink, here is an idea to who 'they' could possibly be:

I've spoken with Merck M. (manager) and Caram (studio engineer) over the past 2 months and they're very cool. They're not going to be telling me everything going on, as it's their thang, so I can only go by what they tell me.

That?s disappointing. I thought "they" could be the members in a multiple personally.....no, I mean
I?d rather "they" were other members in the band like Jarmo and Gypsy said.

Nine? Eleven or thirteen, it depends on how we see things.

I have to ask a "they"? question.. WHen axl gave his speech at rio 3 he mentioned that They, his old band mates, did everything in their power so he couldn't/wouldn't be there/here today..

I didn't follow anything gnr wise after about 95, I just want to know what THEY did to stop him from being there..

I know it's off the subject but I don't need a topic for the answer..

Do you know what THEY did to stop Axl releasing an album and playing concerts? THEY made some albums: AFD, Lies, UYI 1 and UYI 2 and THEY were amazing musicians who did excellent shows. That's the big problem with THEMyes

Of course 'everybody hated each other in the band, with the exception of me', ooops, Axl. On the other hand I'll be happy if CD's music is just half good as Snakepit's.

I think snakepit is underrated, slash has done some amazing guitar work and rod jackson was killer in ain't life grand.. I think some people liked the more epic big budget over done songs and can't enjoy a kick ass rock n roll album without those types of songs..

No one knows what the next gnr album would have been like..  If they started in 94 with a new album it wouldn't have been bad doing something more hard rock based with smaller sized ballads, just look at the bands which were big then.. After that another would have been done and different ideas would have been used..

Wether you like it or not the illusions were big relationship songs, and self indulgent, it would have been nice to skip the productions and had something basic which made gnr big..
