NELLY?S ONE-TWO PUNCH!? ?

Rapper's Albums Take Top Two Places as McGraw, Charles, Simpson Remain in Top 10

September 21, 2004

You?re not seeing double.

Fo? Reel/Universal rapper Nelly takes the top two spots on the HITS album chart this week with Suit and Sweat, the first time that?s been done since Guns N? Roses turned the trick with Use Your Illusion I and II back in Sept., 1991.?

Edit - Velvet Revolver also gets mentioned towards the bottom of the article:
The only records to show increases over the previous week are RCA/RMG?s Velvet Revolver (#29-25, +3%), SRC/Universal?s Akon (#42-33, +3%) and Arista/RMG?s Avril Lavigne (#15, +1%).

I`m not a fan of Hip Hop, but 5-10 percent of it is actually good. Relevent social commentary and some very talented lyricists.  The other 95% is crap for people with a low intelligence level. They rap about about money, women and how rich they are..

Hip-hop isn't bad in theory:it expresses social issues and it is a protest against racism and discrimination.

But it really is a bunch or retards "singing"(if you can call it that) about their bitches and ho's and the bling-bling they're wearing by the kilos.

And I don't understand why hip-hop gets so much air time everywere, because it doesn't sell very good. The best-selling rap artist ever is Tupac, with 27 million records sold.A lot of bigger selling bands get far less air time than the ugly morons we see and hear every day.
