Some people just don't know how to ride a bike

« on: July 14, 2004, 03:43:03 AM »

a while ago i saw this band on tv, and i thought to myself "I hope these guys get big, even though those riffs sound very familiar, they fucking rock"

now i've heard more of their songs and will definetly be buying their album Mouthful of Love.

anyone looking for a good rock n roll band, really good male female dueling vocals and stuff should check them out. I love it and wish more bands are influenced to play music like this.

young heart attack is also justin hawkins from the darkness's favourite band, so yeah hahahahha that says it all.

yeah so this is the YHA appreciation or critricism thread.

what are your opinions on them?

Ha! Saw these guys last year at Leeds and they ruled. I think Arron has one of their albums, but I haven't gave it a listen yet.

Justin Hawkins likes them coz he's bangin' the singer.

But they seem a pretty decent rock n' roll band, maybe lacking in balls a bit, but still good.

What were you saying about my taste in music?

hahahhah that was a joke! i knew you took pride in your taste in music.......i was just being annoying by saying you have terrible taste........you don't. the whole point of my other post was to set an example for the other guy to stick up for himself and say "Fuck you chris misfit". Since when do we have to be civil on a message board and ask for a formal apology. Huh I'm not a bowie fan.....so it wasn't offensive to me obviously, so i dunno.

yeah anyway back on topic i know what you mean about lackin balls. They need a bit more attitude, and the lead guitarist looks like a trucker! hihi he plays so sloppily that it actually makes it good. I like the voice of the male singer the most.........is it as good live as the record? Cuz on the record he's got a damn perfect rock n roll voice.

they're coming to australia soon........so i'm gonna go see them.......haven't been to a gig in a while, hmmmmmm since KISS (whatever your thoughts on KISS are, they put on one hell of a live show, one of the best). YHA will have it tough to follow up them, but real small venue should make it real good.

Finally got to hear the album today after all this time.  I quite enjoyed it the frontman's vocals reminded me of Brian Johnson's and the female vocals were good enough she's definately an impressive singer.  I like the fact that the songs are short and to the point and they have so much energy i would love to see this band live i recommend this record to anyone who wants a bit of old school rock, they're nothing special, they're not totally original but they are still damn good ok
