Use Your Illusion I (1991)

« on: January 19, 2008, 03:12:33 PM »

What you guys think about this band.

I have "Gravity" and their greatest hits album they put out.

Anyone heard the song "Not Enough"? I love it.

They are in the works for a new album now.

BE cool, peace

Definately one of my favorite bands.

While Gravity is a pretty decent album, it honestly pales in comparison to their earlier work.

You gotta' check out their debut album, Naveed and it's successor, Clumsy.

Clumsy is definately their Appetite for Destruction, if you will.

And "Spiritual Machines" -  my personal favorite - is their "OK Computer."   I still listen to "Made to Heal" and "Right Behind You (Mafia)"...great songs.  peace

Gems I guess if you will.

Not including the singles, from Naveed I'd recommend The Birdman, Dirty Walls, and Denied.

And from Clumsy I'd suggest Big Dumb Rocket, Let You Down, and Car Crash.

Their third album, Happiness...Is Not a Fish That You Can Catch was pretty damn good too.

Some good songs from that one include Blister, Waited, and Consequence of Laughing.

Definately one of my favorite bands.

I honestly didn't care for that album at all dude Undecided

I'm all for bands experimenting with their sound, but that album was just a bit too much.

Definately enjoyed, and still do enjoy Gravity alot more than Spiritual Machines beer

I didn't see a point in starting a new thread for this..

I went to see them last night in Fredericton , NB Canada..and it kicked ass !! They put on such a good show.

a funny tidbit of extra info : Fredericton is the capital city of New Brunswick and each band that played ( including OLP ) called Fredericton a town  hihi

it makes me scared of the rest of the world as I'm from the community of Geary and if they think Fredericton is small : I ain't seen nothing yet  Grin

but yeah .. Our Lady Peace kick ass live !! Go see them if you get the chance  ok
