From August 2004 Issue:

"Stinson has spent the better part of his career playing alongside revered rock drama kings (Paul Westerberg of the Replacements and Axl Rose in Guns N' Roses). If he were to write a memoir, it would have plenty of muck. For now, we're lucky to have Stinson's solo record, An ambitious, soulful outpouring that's more Replacements than G N'fn'R. Beginning and ending with tearjerkers ( 'Without a View,' ' Someday') it brims with emotion, Guests include Josh Freese and Dizzy Reed. And b/c Stinson made it with his own money before shopping it to labels, it's one of the most genuine things we've heard all year." *** out of 4

There ya go.  ok

I'm glad the interviewer put aside his past with the replacement and current with GnR and gave it a honest review as something totally different. I will be picking it up once it hits Best Buy.

I liked how the noted it was self-financed, which was something I was previously unaware of. Makes it definetly more artistically appreciative.
