SLASH: ?Denim. Spandex was something that was a horror to me back in the late ?70s and early ?80s. I?m kind of dressed like Julian (Casablancas) right now.?
WEILAND: ?I don?t mind a denim jacket, but I?m not a double-denim guy. I?ll leave that for R Kelly, but he takes it off too often.? ROCKS

Favorite contraband for tour
SLASH: ?Guinness and cigarettes.? ROCKS
WEILAND: ?I think that?s pretty much an obvious question.?

Gun control
SLASH: ?I got a couple guns, and the more gun control that you keep on everybody, the worse it gets. So it?s really hard to figure out exactly what gun control means.?
WEILAND: ?Today?s gun laws were created when America was under siege from a foreign invader. We don?t have to rely on a militia from South Central Los Angeles protecting us from the onslaught of North Koreans invading our shores. So I?m for gun control.? ROCKS

Will GNR?s Chinese Democracy ever be released?
SLASH: ?I?d like to say that (Axl) just keeps shooting himself in the foot. He?s so arrogant.? ROCKS
WEILAND: I don?t think about it. It?s about one guy, and I feel sorry for him.?

Guilty pleasures
SLASH: ?Beyonce. It?s the song and video combo that does it for me. I think people would be surprised to see me rocking out to the video.?
WEILAND: ?I was listening to the new Britney Spears single and I swear it had to be about cocaine. So I listened closer. And, yeah, it?s about cocaine.? ROCKS

What the hell is wrong with Courtney Love?
SLASH: ?She seems really interesting and fucked up, which draws me in. I met her once in passing, way back at the MTV Awards, but she got into a fight with Axl and it wasn?t pretty.?
WEILAND: ?She and I used to get loaded together back in probably 1994, right after Kurt?s death. It?s a really fucked-up thing right now.? ROCKS

Michael Jackson?
SLASH: ?I was at Robert Evans? house and had my 6-month old boy with me at the time (and Michael was there). It was sort of weird. I was holding my baby and I was like, ?This is Michael.?? ROCKS
WEILAND: ?He?s such a musical genius, but has been playing catch-up for a while now. His personal life is pretty sad, but I don?t know much about his (child-loving days). The whole story is really sad.?
