Picture this. Its 1993, you've just finished the biggest tour of your life, you've made enough money to never have to worry about anything but music again.Your band is one of the biggest bills in the world of modren music. But you want to completley change your style of music to something which 1993 was still very much underground and only just starting to break into the mainstream.

Is axl a genius wanting to capitolize on a style of and music and ride the wave in from the top.
Or was axl dissallusioned and a complete whacko who lost touch with reality?Huh?
What exactly was the "techno" music other band memebrs spoke about that axl wanted to play?HuhHuh

Your thoughts please and let 'em flow freely Smiley

All of the above....

As for the whole techno thing. Its a myth. Yea Axl likes that music but he never wanted to do a NIN album. He wants to incorporate different styles of music such as industrial/techno and blend it in and make it work gnr style.

All genius's are weird.  He is - i think the only true rockstar we have had maybe since Johnny Rotten.
Because he has remained faithful to himself.  I'm not saying he hasn't had problems to sort out.  But to be the biggest rockstar in the world as he was and choose to just take a break from the limelight.  Most stars just moan about fame  and you think well what the fuck are you doing there then?  Axl just left it the whole system behind untill he was ready to do something.

For fans it's frustrating because we want more and more. But he will always do things his way, true artists always do.  People are quick to point out weakness', but the amazing thing about the short tour we had, is that it sold as well as it did without anything to plug, without hardly any promotion - a few posters here and there, that was it. I personally have not seen a bad perfromance from Axl that tour - apart from the VMA's but that didn't even matter because that night the excitiment that our Axl was back on our screens WAS the event.

I hope in time that we get to hear the journey of work he must have done between 1991 - now 2004. (wow it is painful when u write that down lol)   People want him back have alot of patience, time and love for him. I hope by this time next year that we are enjoying some of his new work. We deserve a little loyalty reward at least lol

Axl was 7th out of 100 greatest frontman
6. Ozzy
5. Steven Tyler
4.David Lee Roth
3. Robert Plant
2. Freddie Mercury
1. Bon Scott!
Classic Rock mag issue 68 July 2004 has the answer:

A manic depressive, unreliable, unfathomable, impenetrable, temperamental, arrogant.
yes Axl rose is all of those.
which is why he continues to fascinate us and command our attention.
we all love the bad boys of rock n roll, and they dont come much badder than Bill Bailey, as he was christened.

(Bladdy blah- its a LONGGGGGG friggin' thing and i dont have the time or patience to type it all out, as I need to go on Jesper Gronkjaer sites!  Tongue)

Sometimes courteous, often rude and threatening, always the epicentre of emotional reactivity. its now what makes himgreat. even now as GNR lurch rom crisis to fiasco,
BENEATH THE OBNOXIOUS BRAVADO LURKS A VERY TALENTED SONGWRITER!

There you go!  Wink

Oh btw- Axl got five stars for X-Factor, 3 stars for voice and 5 stars for image!
It says his gimmick was White bicycle shorts!
Does anyone agree?

Drunk- Sowwy for typing in pink, i never knew it was offensive!

People I didnt know that it would be like that! Wink

THe short white shorts can be attributed to Queen's Freddie. I think most ideas are just ripped off, and people just need to take something and make it their own, thats how they are remembered.

that must also explain the catcher's chest guard and the kilt.
