Right now it's at #13 on the billboard and is just the third week on the charts, it reminds me the last Marilyn Manson album, it debuted at # 1 and then went down really fast...

Let's no get ahead of ourselves here. Only 23.5% of the total is in. It could drastically change over the next day. They are only on the first single anyway, so there's no reason to think they can't pull off a million yet.

lets see 380,000 copies in 2 weeks? yeah it will definitely go platinum

double platinum? depends on how well falls to pieces and some others do

personally i think YGNR would really bring the new fans in

it will definitely go platinum though

this is US speaking only by the way

time the 3rd week tallies are in it will be gold

they need to hurry up and get the next single out though b4 they lose momentum

Bah, he's looking at www.hitsdailydouble.com.... the final totals aren't in until tomorrow.

They've moved up since then, they're now at #10 with 18,000 copies sold for 31% of the total.

That chart is completely unreliable for anything at this point... it says Usher is #1 right now, but Jadakiss is going to shoot up there by tomorrow with like 250,000.  Beastie Boys should be ahead of Usher too.

(See my new thread)

I agree, i think a critical error was travelling to Europe after it's release and now they will pay for it %52 decrease in sales)

Suddenly the hype DRIED up real fast post June 8.

No not really, they are #3 right now in the U.S. Billboard charts, moving 380,000 copies in 2 weeks. They will be platinum by week 10 probably.

#13? Not here in the States it isn't.

The next single should not be Superhuman as reported. I think they should save Fall to Pieces for the 3rd single. This album has 4-5 singles on it.

The 2nd single should be Headspace or Loving the Alien.

Loving the Alien would really pull in the girls and just different audiences.

Headspace would support Slither well and make one hell of a video I think. By next year, I expect Contraband to have 3 million in the U.S. alone under it's belt. (June 28th, 2005)

You Got NO Right would be a nice single too D....

Guns N' Roses released Sweet Child o' mine as the 2nd single after Jungle and that worked out pretty well it seems.

So I think FTP is a good choice for 2nd single. Heapspace is another great radio song

It's up to #6 right now, with a good chance to get back in the top 5.  Probably will sell 90-100K copies this week.  I think it will go platinum by early-mid september, maybe sooner depending on  how Fall to Pieces does as single.  If they release either Headspace or YNGR followed by LTA as the next 2 singles after FTP.  I think they will sell abot 2.5 million copies in by June 8th next year.

I think it'll go platinum soon, it'll take some time, but hopefully we'll have some more singles soon to boost the sales.

For them to reach platinum at week 10 they would need to sell a 77,000 records each week for the next 7 weeks (figuring they sell 453,000 after the first 3 weeks. THat leaves 77,000 a week) Thats gonna be hard to do when they are saying there next single wont be out til end aug.

Wishfull thinking. They need a cross-over song second. Its got to be FTP, scott said it was NEXT and its something that could garner a larger audience.

That would be nice for VR to sell that well here. Not many rock albums sell near that well. if you do the math (2.5 million over 49 weeks)  that means they need to sell 51,980 albums a week for the next 49 weeks. Thats some very wishful thinking.

I really like VR and want them to succeed but I dont think they are gonna meet some of these expectations
