Just listened to the official version of "Bodies," and after comparing it to the El Rey bootleg, I dont believe its the same one.  Theres minor differences, most notably, Weiland yells "Mommmy!" all the way through the end of the album version, something he doesnt do on the bootleg.

The song sounds like it was played live in studio, but it doesnt sound like the El Rey performance.  Anybody else notice this?

well, GNR Live Era was supposed to be live also, and we know how that turned out...

(Disclaimer: i'm not comparing VR to GNR for the sake of starting anything, but just cuz that's the only live album I own and the only one i know with vocal work done in the studio. i'm sure there are other examples but i don't know of them...)

Not one spot on my slither single says it was recorded at the el rey, although the first part sounds like it, mainly because I can hear my friend scream at the begining

Well its got the El Rey intro (with Hulk references)...And up until the singles release, it was the only time "Bodies" was played live.

Jarmo might be right, theyre just overdubs, but the quality of the recording is striking.  Listening to it, it sounds like a studio song.  If it is live, it certainly could provide a little insight on the sound of those supposed new GNR studio clips.
