does the song You Got No Right and Loving the Alien have somewhat of a  beatles vibe to them...its got that "classic" sound to them
i may be wrong but these are my two fav songs on the album and i dont see what everyone is talking about when they say this disk is just an ok cd. i dont think that they could have done too much better or two much worse. the cd is awsome!! great job beer

I would not say the beatles but they have a john lennon feel to them.
As for this album being just ok, the ballads are great but the rocks are not that good.
That is why its just an ok album.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

I don't really hear the Beatles in LTAS but that is the first thing I said whne I heard YAGNR.  I also agree with you about the album being awesome. I think the rockers kick ass as do the ballads. They actually get better with every listen. I still havent listened to the album in full & good quality. But I have pretty much heard the whole thing and everything sounds better with every listen. Cannot wait til tommorrow.

Loving The Alien sounds more like Pink Floyd to me.
YGNR definitely has Beatles influences in there though.

As much as love the ex-GN'R guys, it makes me wonder why they left Axl to go and make a modern sounding rock album on their own, when Axl is supposedly doing that too???

I mean, they've got the classic styles on there (YGNR and LTA) to which Axl has The Blues, and they've got modern rockers like Illegal I Song, where Axl has songs like CD and Rhiad. So why couldn't they stick it out with Axl I wonder???

I guess none of us will really know the answer to that.

the intro is beatles like....then when weiland sings "without wanting all the reason its a treason with no answer" sounds a lot like Limp BIzkit....

IMo 1 of only maybe 3 songs on the hwole album that are excellent....

I don't really see the Limp Bizkit similarities and IMO I think the whole album is excellent.

I never compared Vr to LB. And im not trying to. All I said was that theres a certain part of the song that sounds like a limp bizkit song...the way it sounds and the way scott sings it....how come you didnt get on me for saying the intro sounded a lil like the beatles? I was just noting what it sounded like to me....not trying to compare bands or anything
