Anything Goes is an awesome track, i agree it's hardly ever mentioned but i love that song. I would 1 day want to hear the 12 minute version if they ever did it.

this is one of the most underated party songs of all time... put it in with 11 other songs on a CD that changed the world of music and its easy to miss..

I belive the 12 min version is a demo with diff lyrics..

Um various places and it says it in the GNR history section on HTGTH. It was orginally written for 12 mins by axl and izzy in 1984 but they cut it down for AFD.

I'm not sure if they actually recorded it, but i think the 12 minute version was of the same lyrics and another 1 with different 1's like don't cry, but i aint to sure.

With the thrash and speed metal thingy did u hear that from the steven interview that was recently posted by dizzy in the ex-gunners section?

As others mentioned, I did post an interview with Steven in the Ex-Gunners section where Steven said they recorded the 12 minute version for their demo, and shortened it for AFD.

However, they performed the long version live several times, I have it on a couple bootlegs from 1986.  After AFD was released, they only played the AFD version.

I've heard a 4 minute version with the alternate lyrics. I think these lyrics have much more depth.

I love My Michelle, the begining of that song just flat out kicks ass.

Heh, it wouldn't take much for any other version to have more profound lyrics.  hihi  Much as I love "Anything Goes", it's the most lyrically simplistic and unsubtle GNR song there is.
