We had a singer down last night and jammed to a few songs.  One was Nightrain.  He wasn't to familiar with it but we rocked it anyway.  I am really happy with the results... although he is wobbly in places, the energy of the band was kick ass... considering we hadn't ever met the guy before let alone played music with him, I am impressed.

We both have Marshall JCM2000 TSL head and cabs and Les Pauls... and I play the Izzy and Slash mid solos, and my other guitarist plays the outro solo....

Anyway, we are gonna see how some other singers sound, but we like Joe, he was good... a bit more practice on Nightrain and he will have it nailed.  He has a great voice I think... it's not cheesy or 80's and at the same time, it's not that stupid modern type of grunty shouty type voice.

What do people think?

Bare in mind we have only actually been a band for a few weeks. Smiley

Dude, that's pretty cool, that opening lick really swings. Drums sound excellent as well, you simply CAN'T do that drum beat wrong, or the song sounds shat... Grin

Keep hold of that vocalist if you can, they're becoming a rarity, and he sounds wicked...

dude you gotta keep that vocalist, yeah he wasn't too good in some places but what can you expect if he's not familiar with the song.

well i could hear the potential, not many singers like that anymore.

are you guys a cover band or original band?......because i guess if you need to write original songs a good lyricist is a bonus as a singer............but if your a cover band all you need is a good vocalist.

but anyway i would like see that joe guy really tested and see if he can do WTTJ.

anyway cool stuff  beer
