i'm goin! and so is louren?o from this board. i was thinking of a gunner reunion on the Hard Rock Cafe here in lisbon at the the day of the concert. we could all meet there, have lunch, drink some beers, and then head to the concert! if any one is interested please reply :D i have already made plans to be there at the hard rock with other gunners as well, this could be a day to remember!!! :)

since i'm only 20 years old i missed out when gnr toured europe in '93, and i couldn't go this last year, o this year i'm ordering tickets and (hopefully) going all the way from norway to portugal to see my favourite band ever!

So has an official announcement been made regarding tickets sale dates and outlets....how far in advance did these go on sale for this event in the past? How many tickets approx will there be ...any idea...I presume this is an open air standing venue with no seats?? Any info welcome and IF this all materialises then I shall be there...only risk with this type of festival is IF GNR cancel you would lose your money as the other acts would still play.

I saw in a Portuguese newspaper the tickets will be available from January and will cost 53 euro per day.

i would've paid a lot more than that to see gnr, and the tickets aren't on sale yet. there will be a lecture on my college at the 18th of november so i'll try to get some info on that, and gnr if its possible  : ok:

Isn't a euro pretty close to a US dollar? 53 dollars is pretty cheap. I paid 95 for my tickets to see the band in LA, and never got to see them. 53 dollars would be the second cheapest concert I've ever been to.

Hi everybody. I'm new here and i'm trying to find GN'R fans that will go to Portugal to see them in Rock In Rio. I live in Colombia and i'll be in Lisbon since may 27th, but i'm going with no friends, so it would be good to meet someone who is going.
This is gonna be my second GN'R concert. The first one was in 1992, and it would be my third if the 2002 north america tour wasn't cancelled. I bought concert tickets, airplane tickets, hotel reservation and rented a car, but the tour was cancelled three days before the concert. It was gonna be in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Well, i don't know what else to say, except that i am a big fan of GN'R since i can remember, and i hope to see some of you guys in Lisbon.

a quick update on the bands that are playing in the same day as GnR ;)

Evanescence are also schedule to play in the same day as GnR

that should be interesting. at least they'll draw a younger crowd to the show. just yesterday i saw somenone say how evanescence was playing and they were really happy about it, and then the same person said and GNR is fuckin awsome too, so i'll be there for sure. i bet good money he wouldn't be there if wasn't for evanescence, cuz he was like 14? Lol never the less. it should be fun  :beer:

evanescence is a good band , amy lee has a great voice and is HOT!! ;)

For security reasons, apparently the Shengen agreement will be suspended during RIR and Euro 2004 - meaning, there will be border controls, even from people coming from other EU countries...

hey guys, I am planning to head to Rock in Rio @ Lisbon 2004; I am a big fan of Guns and Roses, as I grew up with them. I am 27 and when I was 16 I went to their concert back in 1993 in Modena, Italy. Great Show.
By the way I know how Axl could cancel a show in a second so I wonder why any official confirmation is on the official site? I'd hate being stuck in the crowd for evanescene or whatelse...So could someone update me about this matter?

i got my ticket, but how the fuck can i buy my plane ticket and order a hotel room now that we don't know if they're comming... i might end up spending 1000 bucks on nothing because i'm not going to lisbon if gn'r aren't showing... if i don't hear anything very soon i'll have to buy plane ticket and a hotel room, but if they cancel after that and before i'm actually in lisbon i'll be pissed...

i hope so. if axl really is that sorry for the fans, he should pay at least the tickets we bought. or give us some sort of free entry on any upcoming tour if they manage to do one, actually (well a free entry on a show that actually does happen that is...).

I booked Flight and Hotel (from Ireland ?1290) but i never booked my tickets cos I think I lost faith with the band, I was hoping they would prove me wrong, but thats not the case again...
