Slash, Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin shooting a harpoon through the window of a boat in the 1988 Clint Eastwood movie The Dead Pool? There aren?t too many other guys walking around in top hats and leather pants, so if that wasn?t them, that?s a huge-ass coincidence! ? Kyle Nunweiler, Calgary, Alberta No, you?re right. Their uncredited appearance in the fifth and final Dirty Harry movie was filmed just prior to their international superstardom. The wharf scene was filmed on the San Francisco Drydock, with Slash deemed the most suitable harpoon shooter. Steven Adler and Axl Rose also appear with their bandmates in an earlier funeral scene. The film is also notable for a youthful cameo from Jim (then James) Carrey as soon-to-be-murdered rock star Johnny Squares.
