Title: Live Era Front Cover Question
Post by: BumbleBuzz on July 14, 2024, 04:08:04 AM
Hi All,

Guns N Roses Live Era was actually the first GNR album I ever bought. Vivid memories of the day it happened...none of that Spotify streaming on release day for me.

But one thing I've always wondered is why some European versions of the CD release feature a slightly different front cover.

In the bottom right hand of the front cover, there's a poster - and in the UK/Ireland it was always orange. But I have seen other versions where it's blue? The poster itself is also a different poster and so this couldn't just be a color error in printing.

Example 1 - https://www.discogs.com/release/2035551-Guns-N-Roses-Live-Era-87-93

Example 2 - https://www.discogs.com/release/15727142-Guns-N-Roses-Live-Era-87-93

It's a very minor thing, but I wonder if there was ever a reason this happened? Was this ever specifically explained...or was there perhaps a copyright reason as to why certain photography/posters couldn't be used in a specific region?
