Title: Most Popular CD songs Post by: kyrie on December 09, 2023, 03:35:24 PM This is pretty much semi-scientific at best, but has anyone given much thought to what the most popular CD songs are?
In my head, they were always stuff like Better, Street of Dreams, CD itself, and Madagascar (having been played at the VMAs), plus maybe TWAT, being probably the most Illusion-esque track of the album. I'm not much of a streaming service guy when it comes to music (no Amazon Music or Spotify here), but on YT I noticed This I Love has 11M views and Better 7.5M for the audio tracks. Given there's no video for those songs and TIL was never a single, I was kind of surprised. For those of you on Spotify, are the results similar? Are guns even on Amazon Music? I'm assuming they are, but I've never used it... Anyway I've seen TIL dragged by a number of "old" fans, the usual anti-ballad crowd but I guess the general public was more open to it. The title track has over 29 million.

It is interesting how that track is the most streamed on Spotify, Youtube. Like you said, there was no video, nor was it a single. My wife loves it, my kids love it. I have other songs on CD I like better,!but I get why TIL gets so many plays.
