Title: East Rutherford, NJ Aug. 15, 2023 Post by: cineater on August 14, 2023, 10:25:53 PM Metlife Stadium, open air, they're getting wet.
Thanks Blackstar. (https://i.servimg.com/u/f97/20/05/33/00/2023-031.jpg) I'm at pinball for this one. I'm in the number one spot for my group. Don't be impressed, it's been 4 years in the beginner group and I have no plans to get any better. :hihi: Title: Re: East Rutherford, NJ Aug. 15, 2023 Post by: johnreed3344 on August 15, 2023, 08:08:55 AM Can’t wait! Regardless of your thoughts on GN'R or Axl's performance in 2023, this guy is a complete asshole as a concert-goer. Imagine paying money and getting stuck anywhere near this guy... and he thinks his jokes are hilarious. He also sat on the side of the stage for the whole GNR set.

Didnt find a video for it yet. Fun fact. Catcher has only been played twice in Europe. Both in 2010. GNR played all the hits and Axl’s voice was good on most songs. Slash was unbelievable on his solos and Duff was solid. Definitely recommend seeing GNR on the North American tour.
Title: Re: East Rutherford, NJ Aug. 15, 2023 Post by: GNR4LIFEJD on August 17, 2023, 03:09:22 PM I know this is a few days late but finally have a chance to share my thoughts on the show. First off Great time loved the show. I have a few unsung heroes as well first is Melissa her backing vocals were much more noticable this time and it felt like she got more screentime in years past and really would like to hear more from her. Also I really think Frank deserves more credit for his drum skills i think he does a great job.
I do have a question though when it comes to Axl and i have no complaints on his voice but in regards to the PA system or microphone he uses it would seem like you would see him singing but it was coming thru for a few seconds then it would come blaring in at other points not sure if anyone can clarify or what they thought. I have also come to the realization while we are the die hard fans that come to sites like these we are the minority part of the fan base as opposed to your average fan. When it comes to Old Gnr songs fans get hyped any chinese democracy era songs while i was excitied for them felt like sit down and rest songs for alot of people. I do hope they continue to play CD songs and newer stuff as thats the only way you are going to get those songs over this is one criticism I will have not having released videos for any CD songs or have more of push to get them played on the radio when the album came out. While we that come here want new music I think one of the reasons why they didn't for a long time was a resentment towards the Chidem era line up. I think any new music released by this version of the band will receive more positive outlook because its majority the original line up Title: Re: East Rutherford, NJ Aug. 15, 2023 Post by: jarmo on August 17, 2023, 03:29:07 PM Any song that's not a hit will get a different reaction than the hits. Doesn't matter it's a deep cut like Coma or a more recent track like Hard Skool.

Sure it takes forever for new songs to come out. 3 hour shows still demonstrate a dedication to giving the audience a great show.
two points im noticing though that bum me out a little bit: did the stop doing the sparks raining down on novermber rain? and wheres all the Paradise city confetti? Loved the chaos it created. really made the show a party. I think any new music released by this version of the band will receive more positive outlook because its majority the original line up Axl's voice is a lot louder in his lower register. That's something every band deals with; the fairweather fans only come for the hits, but the hardcore fans want deep cuts. I do think it's strange that they never really did videos for CD. Axl was the one who loved doing big videos during UYI. Why the sudden change of heart? Title: Re: East Rutherford, NJ Aug. 15, 2023 Post by: AxlHBK on August 17, 2023, 07:41:12 PM Money. I doubt the label would invest a lot of money on a video for a song on an album they already invested millions in, especially in the day and age of music videos not being as culturally relevant as they were in the early 90s
