"[Patton's antics are] a little bit of both [truth and fiction]. We had fun, bringing those images to the mainstream. "But the Axl carton story wasn't true." However, the musician did confirm that Mike's actions caused the band to get in trouble with Mr. Rose, saying: "That was true. And I have to say we deserved to get spanked." https://consequenceofsound.net/2015/06/mike-patton-once-defecated-in-axl-roses-orange-juice/ During the tour, Patton “took a shit, rolled it into a ball and put it in the hair dryer so that the next guest to dry their hair would get hot shit in their face,” Patton recounted in a 1991 interview with Kerrang! Magazine. His rational for such outrageous behavior? “Ain’t that rock’n’roll? I do hope rock stars are a dying breed. People love to lap them up — you know how something always tastes better if you swallow it quickly.” So, it may be fabrication from a third party that he shat in his orange juice carton....but the author Jon Holmes doesn't deny the hairdryer story, and Mike Patton said he did it in an interview, so.......yeah I'm going to say he did it. Do you HONESTLY think either FNM or GNR would want to tour together?! Title: Re: Support Bands 2020 Post by: rebelhipi on February 25, 2020, 06:16:46 PM Janes Addiction would kill. Title: Re: Support Bands 2020 Post by: COMAMOTIVE on February 25, 2020, 06:32:50 PM Always found it odd that some of the bands that Axl gave great praise to early on (Nirvana, Faith etc) took great pleasure in shitting on him any chance they could.
I like FNM quite a bit but they haven't been relevant in quite some time and I'd just a soon tell them to go take flying FCK if the idea was floated that they join this tour. I'd say the only chance of that happening again is at some sort of festival.... Title: Re: Support Bands 2020 Post by: draguns on February 25, 2020, 08:00:57 PM I would have liked to have seen either Halestorm, Buckcherry, Dirty Honey, Pretty Reckless, Rival Sons, or Black Stone Cherry be the opening band rather than Smashing Pumpkins at MetLife.

I think all those bands are actually quite likely names for the other support slots on the tour. And i also Hope that the fuckin coronavirus is under Control before Guns start the Tour I'm pretty sure I heard some expert doctors on CNN today say that Gnr fans should be immune due to having higher musical standards than most. |
