Title: July 19th, 2018 Oslo, Norway Post by: Grizzly on July 18, 2018, 10:28:08 AM I don't know if this thread is already started, couldn't find any, so....
Well, tomorrow will be special. Here I sit at the age of 43 with two kids and remembering all the good times and good songs this band has given me. All those times the songs from AFD gave me goosebumps and instant boost of self esteem, which comes quite handy at the age of 16. I still feel that today, just the sound of the opening of "Out ta get me" can make me feel like I could conquer any challenge that I may face. This music has played a big part of my life, and tomorrow will be so, I don't know, fulfilling. Can't wait to share the enthusiasm with 30.000 other fans in Oslo, watching THE band with that magic lineup. I hope for a good evening, a good time, good music, and a band that is on fire! Really looking forward to this show, and was excited with the reviews of the Tallin show. My first live show with them was supposed to be in 1991 in Oslo. Remember arriving at the trainsstation in the morning and people there told us it was cancelled. (Waaay before internet and cellphones for all :o ) Joke was on us. Worst day of my life. But, water under the bridge, long forgotten, and Axl, you are forgiven.... ;D Gonna be a blast. Did not see anyone leaving from my spot though. Had a good overview of the venue, and it can’t have been a considerable amount as the venue looked pretty much packed from start to finish. But it works much better live than on YouTube. The sound wasn't perfect but not much worse than I'm used to. SOYL was a letdown, such a rockin' song but the sound was all muddy on that one. I'm not a fan of the seeker, but damn that was rockin' live. The venue was sold out first day tickets was on sale, unlike back in -93 when there was plenty of space. The Golden circle seemed more like golden 1/3, I estimate they put the barriers about 50m back. It's nice to be up front with good space and not 40000 people pushing at your back.
