Right now it seems unvertain what is going on.

Bit safety first. Good decision by the staff here to take a break

I must admit I forgot about tonight's show, just been so tired and happy today after a great show

Setlist: It’s So Easy, Mr. Brownstone, Chinese Democracy [show stopped], [show restarted] Welcome To The Jungle, Double Talkin’ Jive, Better, Estranged, Live And Let Die, Rocket Queen, Whole Lotta Rosie (with Angus Young), Riff Raff (with Angus Young), You Could Be Mine, You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory/New Rose, This I Love, Civil War, Coma, Band Intros, Slash Solo (Godfather)/Sweet Child O' Mine, My Michelle, Wish You Were Here/Layla/November Rain, Only Women Bleed (instrumental)/Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Black Hole Sun, Nightrain

Encore: Jam (Melissa)/Don't Cry, The Seeker, Paradise City

Notes: The show is stopped due to rain and thunder. It's restarted one hour and 40 minutes later. It still rains, which eventually stops.

Axl says that the stage is slippery and that running isn't the problem, the problem is coming to a stop.

At the end of the show, Axl thanks the crowd for sticking around.

Just a quick review:

Supporting acts:
1) Phil Campbell: was really cool, enjoyed most of it
2) Killing Joke: was ... hmm .. ok. A matter of taste I guess

Guns N' Roses came on around 8:30 and kicked off properly (see setlist in jarmo's post). As soon as the 2nd song started the clouds behind the stage got darker and darker and since a weather warning was already given hours before the show it was obvious where the situation could get to. Directly after the first notes of WTTJ (around 8:40 I think) the show was stopped and the crowd was asked to get into safe areas. The crowd around responded to it in a calm way (ok, some idiots didn't, but that was a minority). It was said that the show would resume in some minutes but that plan was terminated by a second wave of heavy rain.
The best part for me was that the band resumed playing after a break of 100 minutes and at 10:20 WTTJ started. Another highlight for me was Angus Young. A great surprise!!
I can't really name a song I enjoyed most. It was just a nearly 3 hours permanent ear-kicking-show. I can really say that there is huge difference between experiencing the band live and judging something by youtube clips. The show simply kicked major ass.

Setlist-whiners and cover songs complainers should really keep their negativity for themselves and let other people enjoy the band we are having right now - they're giving us a f'n great show. And that's what counts!

Oh a sidenote: I was impressed by a really large number of younger fans who are clearly a 2 gen fanbase. Was fun to stand beside a group of 20 yrs old and see how they are singing along.

To all those who have tickets for forthcoming shows:
Be prepared for the experience of your life!!!

Germany and rainy shows, just like Monchengladbach in 2012 although it looks like this time the weather was a lot more dangerous and wet!

Cool little review MJ!

Kinda expected something like an Angus surprise in the London shows, but this Hannover appearance could have to do with the fact that he has a house in the Netherlands. So hoping for a second appearance in Nijmegen

Yes the weather conditions were really pretty hard and because of safety reasons the break was needed.

And yeah, Angus' house is like 20 kms away from me :D
The chances are high for Angus appearing in Nijmegen too. Keeping the fingers crossed for you

I have to correct myself.
His house is not 20 kms away - 20 minutes away by bike 😂

Well, finally Frank slowed it down for Angus. Thanks to that, he nailed Rosie, definitely the best performance of that with GNR and Angus so far. Riff Raff, he was still struggling with the main riff, which he plays differently now for some reason, seemingly picking every note, which only makes it harder. Also, muting the A chord strums, which is strange. But as I've said the other times, he makes up for it by still having that feeling and groove as good as ever.
