Here Today... Gone To Hell!

In my experience, in places like Israel there won't be lots of merch (hope I'm wrong), but my question is how do you rock in the front rows of the golden ring with (hopefully) several new shirts and a badass lithograph?
I'm gonna be there for the show, but as the merchandise whore that I am, I just know I won't be able to pass on it.
Any tips?  :-\

When I went to the Toronto show last summer, they had nothing to put the lithographs in.....no tubes, no cardboard.  I gently rolled them and placed them into a pag which I then had to guard with my life from being squashed or covered in flying beer.

Did anyone buy Lithos elsewhere and get something to put them in?

I wonder if they would even let you bring a tube into the place?

I bought mine outside of the venue then went and put them in the vehicle. I had seats though. Another way is to check the stuff into coat/baggage area for a fee and pick up at end of concert.

Yeah I have the same question, going to 3 shows and if i buy 2 at each then someone will buy one from me for the price of 2 :)
Essentially I'll get a free litho but none if this works if they're damaged so I'm gonna get 2 tubes, hope they will go on the plane with carry-on luggage.
Try to get into the venue with one and if I can't I'll trow that one away, get 2 litho's, put them in the other tube in my car and go back to enjoy the show...

Fuck, I guess I really need to find a plan...
Does is made out of thick paper or anything else?

I have no real knowledge whatsoever but my guess is that surely a tube will be regarded as a potential weapon and simply confiscated.

I think it's largely up to the discretion of security at each venue as I've heard of some people being allowed to bring tubes into some venues while at others they were not.

A rubber band would be a better option, particularly in light of the UK bombing and terror attacks, a simple look through a rolled up poster won't be taken away, and easy to see that there is no knife inside.

A tube can take some hits as it is designed to be a cover for something.

Exactly, in a tube it won't get wet, touched, torn or get wrinkles.

From my understanding, there is a limited number available of these show-specific lithographs and shirts at the venue and they usually sell out long before the show begins.

I never saw any of the limited shirts and saw the Lithos at only 2 of the 3 booths i visited.  This was all well before the show.  They were limited to 400 and I bought 4.  So you can imagine they go fairly quick.

I've asked elsewhere but never got an answer. Is it cash only at the merch stands?

Things may have changed but in Arlington (Dallas) in 2016 I paid with credit card.

Yes, at the Lisbon show, the shirts disappeared about an hour before the GnR show started!

Was gutted by the merchandise situation there. Would be very keen to buy the shirt from the gig off anyone who has a spare.

That makes two of us. Went with my pregnant wife (8 months), didn't go straight to the chaos of the merchandise and half an hour later (an hour before the show started), saw the last ones being sold in front of me  :crying:

In Bangkok shirts were sold out when i arrived to the venue (1,5 hours before showtime)
After the gig the only merch that was left was the picture book.

Only gig I've ever been to that I wanted to spend money at but couldn't! I think there's definitely a market for making more of the show-specific ones for each date available through the website. Bet we're not the only people who were disappointed.

There are a lot of greedy bastards, looking to make profit off fellow fans.
if they could set a limit of one design per person, maybe some of you had hope, but I don't see how they can do it.

Making more shirts is the solution. There's no sense at all in having people not being able to buy what they want. I left with money  in my pocket that I would otherwise have spent. That's not good business!

Depends how limited. Having so few that they're gone hours before most people are in the venue is pretty ridiculous. Just plays into the hands of people who want to buy them all up and put them on ebay.
